Am I the Only One who is sick and tired of "I'd Hit It"?

I've never posted a straight Vanity before.

But I am sick and tired of this good conservative, generally religious site being overrun by people posting "I'd hit it", whenever a picture of a good-looking girl is displayed.

It's demeaning, it's immoral, and I guess I'm just a prude but announcing to the world that you'd like to have sex with a woman based on her picture, like she was some object, hardly seems like the appropriate attitude on a conservative political site.

But rather than post in response to any particular person, I figured I'd just vent here where everybody could see and make fun of me.

So go ahead. I thank you for whatever indulgence you have given me in this rant.

We do discuss culture and society on this board. You are welcome to discuss quilting and the current issue of Garden Magazine on threads.

I confess that I have contributed more than one "Not Guilty" verdict on the teacher threads, although I stopped. They've started up the "I'd hit it" stuff on those threads as well.

Then there was this picture, which rubbed me the wrong way I guess and triggered me to write this vanity:

I think I always knew I was uncomfortable with how far the "I'd hit it" stuff was going (I laughed when it was a rare statement), but an "I'd hit it" commandment really was pushing it into my face a little too much.
