Some of the “example” keywords were over the top but to complain as if this is some type of raging epidemic is ridiculous. Hundreds of threads, day after day, and how many times do we really have a problem? I personally think a lot of the keywords posters add are hilarious.
I agree, this thread is overkill pure and simple.
It’s sort of the equivalent of the 90’s Net-tradition of “signing the guestbook”. You can tell a keyword-abused thread by sheer volume. Look up anything Al Gore-related, for instance.
Yes, the keywords are often the best part of a thread, since one is limited to 20 characters, and the little “taggings” are usually thought out and funny. It’s just the tag-and-run dissent that I think was being objected to.
Keywords are to facilitate making searches. The comment area is for comments.
