Carrie Underwood: ‘Horrible Around Guys’
“American Idol” winner and country phenom Carrie Underwood says that she’s “horrible around guys,” and that since splitting with her college boyfriend Drake Clark in 2005 she the phone hasn’t exactly been ringing off the hook with new prospects.
Underwood told Cosmopolitan magazine that, “guys who would never look at me twice before might ask me out now, so I guess I have better opportunities,” she says. “But when I do meet a guy, there’s this ‘Does he just want his picture in a magazine?’ factor.” Underwood has been linked to both fellow Idol-er Anthony Federov and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, but denies both relationships.

LMAO! You are so right!
Happy Easter, everyone!!
You make good points. Last year, they had Taylor, Chris, Mandissa, Kelly, and Kathryn....all real adults with maturity, personality, and a sense of independence. This year's group just doesn't have that charisma.
We have Sanjaya for one, and only one, reason. The judges let him through, cynically, I suspect, thinking the 10-year old girs wouldn't keep him around this long. Well, you know what? He's making the most of the best singing and stage presence advice the world has to offer. If he wins, it just might remind the judges to keep it real and find the most talented singers there are.
Thing about Jordin, her best week was actually two weeks ago. If it came down to her and Sanjaya, and Sanjaya really built on his voice, and she faltered, who knows?
Do you guys really believe that Sanjaya is still in the competition because of little girls? I don’t think that this has anything to do with it. I think it’s the campaign which Howard Stern and others have perpetuated, in order to annoy Idol fans, that has kept Sanjaya from going home.
I’m amazed that the entertainment reporters also seem to be underestimating this push by the non-fans to vote for the worst.
I don't. I think it's been VFTW all the way!
I think that Sanjaya is going to sink faster than a rock should he go all the way. I felt badly for him in the beginning, but his singing has only gotten worse as the season’s progressed. And now, he has lost my sympathy as he’s just playing along with this whole thing. IMO, he ought to bow out of the competition this week, and do what’s right. He’d regain my respect if he did that. But who the heck am I?
I agree with you 100% One thing that Sangaya, his family and agent haven’t considered is how fast things can turn around in the new age of media.
When it really gets down to the wire, and more talented people go home, this dummy could well be looking at being the most hated person in America (for 15 min LOL) and I wouldn’t be surprised if death threats were included. Hope they think the $$$$ are worth it.
Will Stern and others who pushed this get a backlash and will his sponsors get a backlash from the millions of American Idol fans?
If it went that way, Howard Stern could be regretting the whole thing.
Good questions. I think the public won’t associate Stern closely enough with AI to direct their anger at him. But maybe, who knows. He certainly is an unlikeable enough character IMO.
As far as Stern regretting being the instigator, I don’t think that Stern has one regret gene in his body. ;)
I think it’s a combination. The “Ashleys”, VFTW & Stern. AI is going to have to make some changes to prevent this in the future. It really is a shame that talented people like Gina get voted off while talentless ones like Suckjaya remain. It’s a joke that’s not funny.
I don’t think Stern has regretted anything a day in his life. That requires a conscience. And with his particular fan base, he’s pretty much teflon coated.
Exactly!
And maybe we ought to gather up the names of Howard’s sponsors and think about placing them all under a boycott cloud. It’s all about money.
Mr. Bean? I didn’t know he was still around. Didn’t he have a heart attack or something? He’s always been a favorite of mine.
Quite a diverse bunch they have lined up for the Charity Extravaganza. It seems many entertainers want to have their names associated with AI in some way.
This does not support the pessimistic view that this is Idol’s last hurrah, or that the pipsqueak pervert Howard Stern could possibly destroy it’s popularity.
