I didn’t catch Gina last night either. Interesting.
BTW...Melinda and Jordin are far better vocalists than Pickler and Bucky. But Melinda going home last week really hurt the credibility of this show as a “singing competition.”
Here’s something else to ponder: The song last night (as lame as it was) was written for Melinda. If you read the lyrics you’ll see how the “This is my now” is a clear reference to the fact that she’s gone from being a “back-up singer” to a lead singer through this competition.
Heck, if I wrote a song for this at the start of the season I would have planned it for one of the 3 divas (Melinda, Jordin, Lakisha) to sing. I NEVER thought Blake would have gone this far.

Greeting everyone!
Heres the keepin it real prediction sites update:
AOL Poll:
Jordin to win
Dial Idol:
Jordin to win. (And no margin of error)
Tradesports:
Jordin is at 95 out of 100 to win.
Lastly
.Zabasearch:
Jordin to win as of midnight.
Looks like its going to be pretty cut and dry. The finals would have been a lot closer in a Jordin/Melinda match-up. Im just tuning in to see the entertainment.
Jonny, thats again for all your great work on this thread (and the one for 24 which I check out but not during the show because I cant FReep it and watch at the same time).
Lets all have some fun tonight and enjoy the show!

I hope Jordin wins...she's more "American Idol" than Blake, although I do like Blake too.

I’m hoping the numbers are down this year because of the performers selected. Other than a few, IMO, most sucked and were boring - I also like when there is more diversity in the singing styles.

Jordins 17? Are you serious? That's amazing. That makes all the difference in the world! Why don't they tell us these things?

Hey, we needed a getaway. The people in McLeansville were wonderful. What a great place to raise a family. I scored big points with Mrs. DFU. :)

If a vehicle has been abandoned how is it stealing, for him to sell it to scrap yard or dealer? Doesn’t bandoned mean that someone else gave up ownership? I would think it would be a good thing for someone to get the eye sores hauled away?

Same here, though I've already decided not to watch their tryouts next season. They went overboard this year with the bad ones and then cut perfectly good people. I'll follow the thread though, its better than the auditions anyway! :)

If we had only known last night. They’re just going to have to learn to speak up in the future. We have a right to know. I mean, this kind of information couldn’t be repeated enough.
Could it?

I must say that I’ve heard it remarked upon by the judges many many times during the competition....about Jordin being seventeen years old.

My quick opinion on the show: The sound production was beyond horrible. What a tragic injustice to the contestants.I agree on that. Compared to earlier weeks, the sound was just plain awful.
The last song was stacked against Blake, IMO. There's no way he could...or should...sing that song like a Diva.

Yep, tough break for Blake having to sing that last song. I agree with the judges that Jordin did better overall last night, but Melinda not making it to the final has convinced me not to take any outcome for granted. I hope Jordin wins, but I’m not discounting Ferl-power for Blake.
Thought Daughtry’s performance on the show last night was lackluster. His studio version of that song definitely sounds better.

Gladys Knight - internet rumors have her performing a medley with the top 12 girls
Smokey Robinson - internet rumors have him performing with the Top 12 guys
Joe Perry (guitarist for Aerosmith) - internet rumors have him performing a Beatles medley with the Top 12
Tony Bennett will perform

In an interview this morning, Taylor Hicks said that he would be performing a Sgt. Peppers medley with the Top 12 (with Joe Perry on guitar, perhaps?). Taylor will also be performing his single, Heaven Knows.
Nigel Lythgoe said in an interview on Good Day LA that Peter Noone would sing a medley of Hermans Hermits hits (was he kidding?).

Lakisha Jones said on a radio interview this morning, that ONLY THE TOP 3 will get to sing duets with special musical guests.
There will be no hometown parties. The original plan was to have them, but the producers thought otherwise and cancelled them.

According to this article, Sanjaya Malakar will sport short, platinum blonde hair tonight, and sing a duet with Steve Perry, former lead singer of Journey.
