THe Pickler is still out there singing and might get a tv show?

Yep. She signed a deal with the creators of "That 70's Show".

And speaking of the Gherkin ... her dad has been arrested AGAIN!

ALBEMARLE, N.C. (AP) -- The father of former "American Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler has been arrested again, accused this time of stealing older abandoned and disabled vehicles and illegally selling them to scrap yards.

Authorities have charged Clyde Pickler, 42, who finished a three-year prison term in Florida last year for stabbing a man, with three felony counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and one felony count of obtaining property under false pretense, according to court records.

"He would represent that he had legal ownership and sold them for salvage," said Stanly County Sheriff's Capt. Charles Hatley.

Pickler was arrested May 18 in Albemarle, and he remains in the Stanly County jail on a $26,000 secured bond. He has a court date scheduled for July 9.

He has a court date scheduled for Thursday on a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle without a license, and a June 12 court date for another misdemeanor larceny charge, according to court records.

Kellie Pickler, an Albemarle native who now has a country music career based in Nashville, Tenn., reconciled with her father in an emotional public ceremony last May. Pickler's mother abandoned her as a child and her whereabouts have remained a mystery.

An old mugshot is included with the story, but it's an old one.

In his most recent photo, Clyde has more hair and looks thinner.

Well...another season about to wrap up. I'm leaning toward Jordin, but who knows.

Missed alot of the show but did catch Daughtry. Loved it but what's up with the makeup? He's got talent without mucking it up with trendy eyeshadow, IMHO.

Gonna miss reading this thread!!

It better be buying a Cadillac or a Lexus or something :)

No, it's a Dodge, but it's really shiny!

I can’t believe Randy thought Jordin was better than Martina! She has a long way to go before she’s that good, and I think Jordin would agree with me.

Tough song to sing. If I wrote the “Idol song” this year, I would have written something with a pop/gospel feel with the contestants we had.

Pop/gospel would have been a great choice for this group. The song was tough; doesn't sound like it's in the right key for either Jordin or Blake.

I love Dave Barry, too, but the list was from the Best Week Ever blog.

Dave Barry’s would have been even funnier! LOL!!

I saw that on TMZ.com! I’ve never heard him speak, but I imagine his voice to sound like Billy Bob Thorton in Slingblade.

I’m sorry, but Melinda can sing circles around Kellie AND Bucky. No way Pickles or Bucky could have kicked Melinda’s butt! Guess it matters what year you make it.

Not to change the subject...but I didn’t see a shot of Gina in the audience last night. I’m sure she was there, did anyone else see her?

;)
Re: Jordin tears. She didn’t cry any during the performance but at the end of the standing O & cheers from the audiance. It really got to her. Once she took her hands away from her face to respond to Ryan...when she did that I could see big water fall tears streaming down for the 1st time.

Maybe You were typing something when that happened, so You didn’t see it.

That is indeed Chris with his new Harley Night Rod. It is a permanent demo from a Harley dealer. The day before his little town of McCleansville, NC had a homecoming for him, I surprised Mrs. DFU and booked a 4-trip at the last minute. I knew I would be able to get in the concert in Greensville and hoped to be able to write a few articles. I managed to talk my way into the media event, and asked questions from the front row. As a huge Daughtry fan, Mrs. DFU was ecstatic, particulary with the pictures she got with Chris. She called it the best vacation ever, even better than three years ago in Maui. That's saying something.

I managed to get two articles published -- one in a biker magazine and one in ADOPTION TODAY that apparently had people crying. I got Chris to sign that last year in the Viper Room in Hollywood when he performed there.

MAY SWEEPS UPSET: ABC DANCE SHOW BEATS ‘IDOL’ IN OVERNIGHTS
Wed May 23 2007 09:08:03 ET

FOX and wunderkind Simon Fuller hit with a historic TV upset Tuesday night — after ABC’s ‘DANCING WITH THE STARS’ competition pulled in higher ratings than ‘AMERICAN IDOL’!

DANCING scored a 16.5 rating/25 share to IDOL 16.3/25, in what network insiders are calling a ‘photo-finish’.

“Our results show is tonight,” explains an confident FOX executive, “we’ll see who is left standing on the stage.”

The upset comes as the nation’s top-rated show experienced viewership erosion late in the season, at one point, falling more than 15% from a year ago.

DANCING easily topped the night in the nation’s top cities, pulling a 32 share peak in Chicago and 33 peak in Philly.

Developing...

“Yeah, doesn’t say much if that was the best song they could find?”

Yeah....25,000 entries and they still came up with the same unadulterated, fluffy, puppy dogs, rainbows, and furry woodland critters crap as the other years. No wonder music sales are so far down. That song just flat sucked.

My quick opinion on the show: The sound production was beyond horrible. What a tragic injustice to the contestants. Blake is a great entertainer, artist, producer and will make a good bit of cash from writing and producing credits. Jordin is clearly the best singer and picked a smart song with Christin’as current pop smash as it showed she can fit it to “now” on Top 40 radio. She wins easily.
