She is locked in if they want her. They all sign contracts that 19E can exercise if they choose to.

The people's vote was thrown in the trash this week.
It's rigged. How else can you explain what just happened??

Sheesh, I'm disappointed too, but there's no reason to call the suicide hotline.

Melinda didn't appeal to the Ashley crowd. So she's gone.

But I think he's playing it smart by waiting.

I heard that FDT would announce about mid-August, after the next campaign dollars reporting period is over.

Seeing him reminds us how lacking this season has been :-/

Hi Jonny, although I'm once again late to the party, I'm grateful for your pings and running commentary. The latest fad the kids have when they agree with something is to say this:

Word!

Which means I agree with what you said about Elliott even though I haven't seen the show yet tonight.

Melinda didn't appeal to the Ashley crowd. So she's gone.

And neither does Jordin.

MELINDA IS ELIMINATED!

Wow! So once again the commercial wins out over the skilled. I now believe Jordin will win this year, although to be honest it wouldn't surprise me of Blake wins. As has been said many times lo these many weeks, he is very commercial.

This year has been a mess. There were a lot of talented people they pushed out for style over substance. Suckjaya, Antonella & several others did not deserve to be put through. A lot of talented people lost their chance this season. Usually the show is fun. It hasn’t been this time.

I agree, I never voted this year, don't care...have no real favorite.

Jordon is the best one of what we had to pick from (I guess)....Blake I guess has his following and probably will make some successful CD for his base.

Melinda can sing, seems sweet, but all her songs sound the same to me - I'm not surprised she got voted off. I saw only the last 10 mins of the show tonight(FORGOT TO WATCH!)

I'm sorry I missed Elliot :(

I don’t know, I got suspicious this was going to happen looking at the clips of their homecoming trips....Melinda had the smallest crowd.

Jordin had the most, and Blake had lots and lots of little girls...

There’s so much they did wrong this time. We didn’t even get a chance to connect with many of the contestants from the auditions & the Hollywood phase. It was like “Here’s your top 24!” and a lot of us were saying “who are these people?”

Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen.

All Jordin has to do is win next week, and I hit the trifecta.

I'm a denier. There's zero proof that VFTW effects anything.

Yeah I remember that since with three phone lines, only so many calls can go in, in X amount of time. Also, keep in mind that stipulation that in the event of numbers too close to call, then AI reserves the right to say who stays and who leaves. So, they can pretty much pick whoever they want.

I don’t believe he’s been filling up the arenas in the same way that Clay Aiken did...

Whatever happened to him and his much touted new album?

I guess I’m in the minority....but, I adore Jordin. So, I’m happy. Hopefully, Melindas votes will go to her. Besides, I like, love, this thread so much....I don’t really care who wins! Just a fun bit of frivolity with some of my favorite people. :-)

Thanks..

I am in the minority with you!!! I live in Arizona and have to admit a little hometown bias! Jordin is adorable and completely real - she has a beautiful spirit. Melinda is just too old school for this contest - she made it this far and definately has a future out of the background - she will go far and has a following that will support her.

On our local station, there was an interview with Kelly Clarkson recently and they asked her about what she thought of Jordin. Kelly said Jordin was youthful, passionate and “not jaded.” I think that’s a powerful insight.

Jordin seems like the real deal to me - she has been involved with a christian summer camp (Kanakuck Kamps) for many years (I learned this about her during the hometown coverage over the weekend) - she is a devout Christian much like Melinda and I believe she will do everyone proud.

I’ll be continuing to vote for our hometown cutie, Jordin!
