I am in the minority with you!!! I live in Arizona and have to admit a little hometown bias! Jordin is adorable and completely real - she has a beautiful spirit. Melinda is just too old school for this contest - she made it this far and definately has a future out of the background - she will go far and has a following that will support her.

On our local station, there was an interview with Kelly Clarkson recently and they asked her about what she thought of Jordin. Kelly said Jordin was youthful, passionate and “not jaded.” I think that’s a powerful insight.

Jordin seems like the real deal to me - she has been involved with a christian summer camp (Kanakuck Kamps) for many years (I learned this about her during the hometown coverage over the weekend) - she is a devout Christian much like Melinda and I believe she will do everyone proud.

I’ll be continuing to vote for our hometown cutie, Jordin!

I am a Jordin fan. I want her to lose and have the freedom to follow her own path. I think that she could become the first big standards-cabaret-smallroom singer of this century and I want to see that happen. Her phrasing of the standards is perfect, imo. She feels what she's singing and puts it over without syrup. I prefer her version of 'I Who Have Nothing' to the Tom Jones original. Both Broadway and The Cafe Carlisle are calling.

I don't bother with AI until it gets down to about eight so I didn't see all the history. I knew that they were pushing hard for no-neck to win but I never saw it, to me she's too much of a technician, not enough of herself. For me she really blew the Larry Graham (Houston did it second) heart-wrencher. It should give chills. Her version was emotionally flat.

Blake is interesting. I think he'll win because this is the first AI that doesn't have to be forced into a race/gender based decision and because the producers will get a bigger bang for their buck come CD release time.....

Oh, did we believe that the voters decide?

I think Jordin will be a good role model for kids who will listen to her music.

It’s no secret that quite a few of the contestants this year have been Christians, and I can say it HAS showed. Maybe from an entertainment standpoint it’s been boring, but I have noticed a bond between them that’s visible especially when they are together on stage. Performing or just sitting waiting for results, they appear to be a close bunch. That alone should make for a great finale and a great summer tour!
