LOL! I know I called Jordin first.
Everybody with a pulse knows that Melinda is heads and shoulders above Blake and Jordin in range and emotion.
I happen to think Blake is going to be the next AI...because he already acts like one.
That's why I suddenly JOKED and said Melinda was going...because this entire show is based upon showmanship AND personality.
The beatbox and the vest sweater are coming, folks!
Jordin is going down!

This way the finale still appeals to the largest amount of people. If it were down to the women, they would lose viewers because they sing pretty much the same material.

There’s also some statistic (I recall from last year or the year before) which shows that once they get past a certain number of total votes there’s almost always a 3 way tie at the end.
This means that it’s pretty much anyone’s guess who goes home. Check the Dail Idol numbers and it’s a virtual 3 way tie.

Melinda is very pretty...she has a real, soft, lady-like charm about her. Concur. She's quite attractive. .....and her personality has a lot to do with it. The good news is she'll now get to live her dream -- the life of a leading-lady singer.

Simon knew—he’s PISSED, too. Hey, this reflects on him. People have already lost interest this season—first the Sanjaya fiasco, now Melinda getting the boot.

had a picture of the Maroon 5 lead singer was wearing a little tennis skirt and kissing John Mayer. The tennis skirt is the only thing that surprises me :)

Jumped the Shark---yep. I'm finished with AI. Obviously the American public is unable to appreciate or even determine polished, professional talent over amateurs, I will not get involved in the show again.
I don't even care who wins now.

I hope your wrong because a victory for a “non-singer” like Blake would ruin the show for sure.
We would not only have “jumped” the shark, we’d have not made it across to the other side.
They’ll have to change the name to “American Gimmick.”
BTW....even House beat out Idol this week in the ratings.

I’m taking my son to see Kelly Clarkson this summer - he’s psyched. I saw her when she toured with Clay Aiken a couple of years ago - that was a great show, even when the twit in front of me spilled her nachos all over my beige suede Chuck Taylor All-Stars! :-)

I know what you meant, DC. I used to work on Madison Avenue. I meant—the people voting don’t think in terms of “hmmmm...let’s see who will produce the biggest market share or sell more CDs...” They just vote for who they like.
