The serious money for musical acts these days is in touring, and I heard Taylor will start with a club tour soon. His strength is in live performing, so if he can do well starting in these small venues and grow from there, he will do just fine.I'm really trying not to be pessimistic about Taylor, but he just won't cut it in the mainstream. He is too bluesy genre oriented and those fans tend to have a certain selective ear.
For all intense and purposes, Taylor probably doesn't care about going MS anyways.

The stuff I heard of his that was "pre" idol is what I hope he continues to do. He probably won't make a whole lot of money doing it but hopefully he can live comfortably & be happy with what he does. Taylor is definitely NOT pop.

I liked his pre Idol music, and like blues, so maybe he will be able to get back to that soon. I think he would do well with tours and concerts. He's personable and I think that would be where he's best. Interacting with the audience.

Taylor is definitely NOT pop.But what's interesting about entertainment is guys like T who do make it! I NEVER thought Bryan Adams would ever make it with what he was doing way back, but what happens is these guys get a following, and presto they turn mega! I think that's what "Wolfstar" is elluding to with T and the small club following.
There is such a crossover in music today, however the line still exists and even if T wanted too, I don't believe he would cross the line.
Infact the more I think about this the more I'm starting to buy Wolfstar's prediction.
