You've been added :)
How come these guys don't have a contract???????
Know - is at least as good or better than Daughtry's song (It's Not Over) playing now.
Sundance was simply superb in his first audiotion. One of the coolest voices I've ever heard in all 6 years of AI. Seemed weak in Hollywood Week but could have been "editing". We'll know next week.
Sundance seemed to know he had a bad Hollywood week. Song choice might have had something to do with that. I think that since his audition was so strong that the judges decided to give him another shot by passing him.
Right, especially on the female side.
I don't care. I will personally invest to get this C. Sligh guy heard!
C. Sligh (and band) are going somewhere, I don't care where he finishes.
Infact, I think he'll at least sell as much as everyone of them except maybe, Kelly Clarkson or whoever has sold the most thus far.
Heaven only knows what AI is all about. I have been watching AI rewound from the season of Justiin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson. Simon said Justin might well be the Idol.
Feh!
I agree. I could have lived had Cabbage Patch Girl not made it (please, like she is going anywhere?) and that girl Amy with the big blonde hair with 4 inch ashy roots.
You'll enjoy this..
"Criminal Minds" a really good show about FBI profiles, was on last night opposite AI, so of course I TIVOd it to watch later.
The episode was about a serial killer who lured teenage girls to a record studio on the premise of signing them to a deal, then killing them. And his name was.."Simon""
Chris is really good and has a tremendous sense of humor. Loved the "make Hasselhoff cry" comment from his original audition. That was gold.
A few years ago some radio station around here had Dan Casawhatever on. He started doing the Homer voice. It was very, very disorienting to hear Homer's actual voice coming out of my car radio and interacting with the hosts. It was cool, but weird.
ROTFL!! I knew that was coming!!
HAHA...nice
Don't worry. Anyone with eyes can see the evil radiating out of her. ;-)
I didn't know his wife's name was Crystal, but I could have guessed it. He just looks like a guy who would be married to a Crystal.
Or a Tiffany.
Shame though. He seems like a nice guy.
"When I heard him play the harmonica for the first time--that's when I knew."
Me too - loved him from that point on. I couldnt' believe Simon didn't like him. Just a week or so ago, on Fox & Friends, Brian interviewed him and Simon said, "I was afraid Taylor was going to win".
Odd thing this year is - I don't seem to have a real stand out favorite to pull for. I guess that will happen as time goes on.
I'm fairly new to Free Republic but now that I have found this thread I'll be looking forward to it each week. - thank you for posting it.
Yeah, he does seem nice. I always liked him.
BTW, how much does Sligh look like Ricky from Better Off Dead?
1. She plays the violin
2. She wears mens' deodorant
3. She enters, and wins.."eating " competitions..eating BIG things..like pizzas.. ( I couldn't make that up..LOL)
I tend to agree with the others who think that they edited the show this way on purpose, so we don't have any clear favs. Taylor got his fan base really early.
But what bothers me is that I feel like those first few weeks were wasted. They got us all geared up emotionally with the sob stories and then a scant few of those people actually made it through. What happened to crack girl? What happened to Jenry? What happened to beard guy? It actually sort of ticks me off. If they don't want us to pick favorites early, then start the show at the top 24 like Nashville Star does. Part of the charm of the show was seeing people from the first audition all the way through and seeing them grow.
Welcome to FR! Sorry, I didn't mean to rant at you! LOL! I just got carried away.
