Yes I did, troll!!!
;)
I'm sure I pinged you. Your name is third on the ping list, right at the top.
His implants were shifting :)
Ha! Jake the Snake made sure there wouldn't be any second chances for him :)
Who says you're not cool!? :)
I know I pinged you. See post #4208. There's your name right at the top.
I don't know ... CB, pick up the white courtesy phone!
:)
I don't think it was a setup. It was just edited for maximum dramatic impact.

Too late!
Now you really are ...
;)
Maybe you're right. I just knew they would send her on through....and they eventually did.
LOLOLOL! I love the gif!!! That is great. How come your gifs don't have that smiley.com stuff after them? Do you use a different site?
Good evening!
Just a quick "chime in" on the show tonight.
1) The cousins were pulling a great "con job" on the judged. The first one was really bad and the 2nd one was pretty good. But he sounded a lot better by going AFTER his cousin.
2) Cute blonde Kellie Pickler-wanna-be Bailey's (on the rocks) was more cute than a singer. But she'll go through because Simon has a thing for young blondes.
3) The cute black girl who got a 2nd chance MUST stop singing through her nose and making faces like Mr. Ed when she sings. She could be good if she can control it.
4) I'm hoping Wednesday night's "best of the best and worst of the worst" shows us some talent or it's going to be a LONG season.
5) Finally, I was waiting for Paula to inject one of the contestants with a syringe and wait for them to die saying that "you thought Simon and Randy were the bad guys...."
Seacrest, out!
I steal 'em from you and Mystery and whoever else posts something I like :) Then I either hotlink the gif or upload it onto my own photo site.
I tried getting them directly from Smiley.com for a while but it slowed down my computer :-/
Yes, thanks. I thought she was a couple of seasons ago and I found her in Season 1.
Just finished watching my tape of tonights show....oldest son and girl friend showed up for a visit half way through....grrrrrrrrrrrrr
The cousin act was hilarious! When the second one walked in, he was terrified!
Did the little girl they called back mispronounce the word that was the title of her second song??? lol
Billboard's editorial staff has been wringing it's collective hands about the fairly sharp drop in CD and singles sales this year over last. Norah Jones' new album debuts at #1 this week, but only sold in the range of 375,000. McPhee opened at #2 with 115,000. Daughtry is #3 with 85-90K.
Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson have forged a really close friendship, surprising considering the differences in their ages and their genres.
Have you heard of a CMT show called Crossroads? They bring together a top Country star and a top star from another musical genre for a live concert. They tape the concert and then show it on Crossroads later on.
Reba and Kelly are doing a Crossroads concert before an invitation-only audience on Feb. 22. It will be broadcast in the 4th quarter of '07 to coincide with the debut of Reba's next album. One of the tracks is a duet by Reba and Kelly.
Re Elliott's new album, it will be released soon. The early buzz about his single is pretty positive. They say it's not pop, but more like classic R&B.
Well, I saw some of the first contestants that I feel somewhat enthusiastic about....
I liked Edgar whatsisface -- the one with the "Amazing Grace" cousin beforehand. Edgar was a little boring in his first song (had to agree with Simon there) but he has lovely free open top notes, and real musicality. If he could loosen up, could be a contender.
"Little Ruben" (what? "Little?" Um, yeah, right! LOL!) Fun personality, great smile, very musical voice. I think he may suffer from being compared to Ruben every time he turns around, though.
Ashley or Ashton or whatever her name was -- Grimace Girl -- I thought she had a very lovely voice -- not perfect but warm and easy on the ears -- and I really didn't see what they were all going on about with her grimacing. Maybe it was scarier in person! I thought she was simply expressive, and had beautiful eyes. And I remember ol' Paris (who they all thought was a gift from God) making some pretty funny faces, but they never said boo about that, did they?
Least favorite Golden Ticket - Bailey Brown. Commercial, all right. I could see Simon's eyes lighting up with dollar signs. Her voice was distinctly average. I guess blue eyes and blonde hair means you don't have to have a real voice. Feh. I agree, Simon should go back to France. :)
Gotta wonder if Simon is trying to be a bit choosier this season with the "pity picks"...remember Taylor Hicks audition? And they let him thru, how about Ruben? Simon has to be considering his options on these kids because in the end the audience does the choosing and he is stuck signing the recording contract.
If I was going to make a record I would definately want "Randy" to produce it! I would never ever consider Paula or Simon to tell me whether or not what I was singing had value. Not that I wouldn't respect their opinions, but I wouldn't want to have to fly only by their ears.

American Idol Un-Invites Contestant Akron Watson
Akron Watson was one of the feel good auditions of the American Idol San Antonio auditions. Akron showed up at the auditions with his cousin William Green. Akron described how he was like Bruce Banner and his cousin was like the Incredible Hulk. William explained that they were both unemployed with no source of income, and they were putting everything they had into the auditions.
After Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson giggled through Williams audition, the judges didnt seem to have high expectations for Akron. However, Akron Watson sang a soulful rendition of A Change Is Going To Come by Sam Cooke. After Simon Cowell called him a good singer but boring, Akron sang Lets Get It On. The second song impressed Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul enough to put him through to Hollywood.
After leaving the audition room, an exuberant Akron leapt into his cousins arms and was hugged by family and friends. Viewers at home likely couldnt help but feel good for this unemployed guy, who just got the chance of a lifetime. However, it turns out that Akrons American Idol story didnt have a happy Hollywood ending after all.
According to Pegasus News, Akron Watson was later uninvited from the Hollywood auditions. American Idol representatives apparently never even fully explained to Akron why he wasnt being allowed to go. One possibility is that Akron does have a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession on his record, but Akron claims that he told American Idol about his past. Other contestants with even more serious felony arrests have been allowed to proceed on Idol in the past, as long as they were open and honest with producers.
The even more confusing thing about Akron Watsons elimination is that all indications seem to be that he has turned his life around since his arrest. Pegasus News notes that after a wakeup call when his brother died, Akron dedicated himself to being a good Christian. Pegasus News tried to get an answer from American Idol, but an American Idol representative told them that the show would not ever be giving a reason for Akrons elimination from the competition.
In addition to talking to Dallas media about his disqualification, Akron Watson has launched a MySpace page in an attempt to raise support to get back in the competition. On Akrons MySpace page, Akron explains what happened, WELL, TWO DAYS BEFORE I WAS SCHEDULED TO LEAVE FOR HOLLYWOOD, I recieve a call from Idol saying I'm being cut for "unknown reasons". I don't know about you, but that seems jacked up to me. I want, need, and deserve my shot @ being the next AMERICAN IDOL.
Perla? I think she's going to get annoying real fast.
Fake. Fake. Fake.
Because I think Randy has the best ear for talent I was flumaxed when he said "NO" to Ashton the first time. (Mrs. Ed face)
There is no way you can tell me right now this girl should not have made HW just because some quirky facial grimaces. I actually thought they would have embraced that aspect of her presence as "unique". And of all people to recognize it, Simon. What in tarnation were Randy and Paula thinking of about her facial expressions that made them turn her down the first time...and when she walked out I could see it on all their faces they immediately knew they made a mistake. That was very telling about the auditon process.
