well she finally kind of grew on me, she quit wearing the junk in her tongue and nose and I love winter time when she has on long sleeves, they have two babies now so it's best I find something to like about her, but it was a really really big shock, I thought maybe the war had ruined his brain

That McSong is so bad in and of itself that I couldn't really review her performance of it. Same with that "My Destiny" drivel for her AI finale.

She might come in #2 behind the Awesome Beautiful Immensely Talented My-Future-Second-Wife Norah Jones.

They want to share their "love" with everyone around. I just want them to get a room.

Grin...well, at least she got rid of the tongue and nose rings/studs, whatever they call those things. Main thing is that she's a good mom to your grandchildren. :)

*

Tom Lowe was the British dude who came from England to America ( he was a member of a Boy Band in the UK that charted in several places ).

His audition was not shown here but in the UK.

Fortunately, YOUTUBE helped and we can see his audition.

Rickey, the Filipino blogger did one better — showing his audition of the SONG ALWAYS AND FOREVER side by side with Clay Aiken’s audition.

See them here :

http://www.rickey.org/?p=727

Whose voice was superior ? YOU decide.

What makes America great ? THE BEST TALENT FLOCK HERE TO MAKE IT.
The genius of this country is absorbing the best of the world.

AMERICAN IDOL is but one example… in one season, we’ve got — a Canadian, a Brit, 2 Indians, a Venezuelan and more…

* The Old Man in LA who auditioned for his departed wife brought me to tears. And note — HE WAS QUITE GOOD ! Wonder how he’d do if he were 40 years younger. I bet he’d make it.

* Also, the Taylor admirer — Phong was hilarious. OK, she sucked, but it’s good to see a Taylor fan ham it up.

Plus, the bonus is we get to hear the last few lines of DIMYP as her exit song.

* NOTE THE FOLLOWING REMARKS MADE BY THE JUDGES :

Here’s what Simon Said about his picks to win:

"Cowell is eyeing two strong contenders: ‘’One guy who stands out in the crowd and has what I call the likability factor. He’s not what I would call the typical American Idol because he’s different… but everyone liked him.'’ (Actually, that didn’t seem to hurt Ruben Studdard. Or Clay Aiken. Or even Taylor Hicks.) The other is ‘’one girl who’s got an incredible voice… but not much personality at the moment.'’"

Here’s what Randy has said:

Jackson cryptically predicts the winner will be ‘’someone with curly hair,'’ and when asked about another winner from Birmingham he said:

"Jackson said that he had a feeling that the winner was going to be from somewhere else this year. Jackson also added that it “might be someone who auditioned in Birmingham but not from Birmingham.”

My guess for Randy’s remark would be Chris Sligh. He auditioned in Birmingham but is from South Carolina and yes, who else has curly hair ?

My Guess for Simon’s remark would be Sundance Head. As for the girl, I haven’t a clue… but I’ll hazzard a guess — Jory Steinberg.

I saw McPhee on Leno's show Monday night (I tuned in to see "Chloe" from 24 and McPhee was the musical guest). She was okay, but the song was TERRIBLE. "So over" or "Over it" something like that. It sounded like the bland generic muzac you hear in the dentist's office.

Oh c'mon, the song wasn't "terrible!" Although, it didn't sound "original," it was just mediocre at best, and I agree about the muzac qualities.

However, I don't know what has happened to me, with McPhee, but there are times when I see her "sultry quality" as very HOT!! And the weird part is I don't even like her over the top personality.

Fault me!

Oh yeah--her name was Kia or something. But Pickler II was the only one that stuck in my memory :)

Thanks for the toon!

"He definitely has the personality to win over America. Funny and intelligent too."

While I do hesitate to compare the 'Sligh Surprise' to Taylor Hicks, since both are unique entertainers, I must say that they both seem to share the tools it takes to draw your attention. Add real talent and by george you've got something worth watching/listening to.

IMHO of course.

Oh...and love the Fro' Patro' reference.

I think Clay Aiken version was better. Tom was good, but I have a problem with him because he is not an American citizen. Maybe I'm wrong, but shouldn't the American Idol be an AMerican citizen? I wouldn't have a problem with him otherwise. Is that petty of me?
