Its a whole different type of business, and they havent figured out how to monetize it yet, he said. I hate to say it, they just have to abandon the plastic disc; it doesnt mean anything anymore, its all just straight to computers. Like when people used to and maybe still do, tape songs off the radio????
Nick, nice home boy.

A friend of a friend told me that you have to go through different groups of producers until I think the judges are the third round and then you have to sign a contract about saying you have to sign a contract with the TV. It's complicated.

I'm sure there are multiple rooms with lots of production assistants pre-screening the people from the line. They are looking for people who will be entertaining. They probably give each person 30 seconds and decide whether to investigate further. The ones who are picked as possibles then go through a more thorough pre-screen with the producers of the show. Then the producer pick the people who get into the room with Paula, Randy and Simon.

A retread from last season--Nicholas Pedro. He made it to Hollywood. Forgot the words in his group song. And later quit the competition before they told him to go.
Paula is squirming again.
He finishes the song and both Paula and Joan Collins let out a simultaneous (and nearly orgasmic) "WOOO!"
He gets another chance--goes back to Hollywood.

Like when people used to and maybe still do, tape songs off the radio????LOL! Yeah. It's funny how the music producers are struggle so much with how to deal with the digital world.

Also, the people we see that suck may not be in front of the judges - just in front of the green screen. The comments you hear may not even be attributed to them, yet it appears they are. It's all in the editing.

Did everyone else see that ultra bizarre Coke commercial? They shouldn't let Paula design their ad campaigns.
