Nice......g'day, g'night, whatever it may be for you.....put me on your ping list if you have one. Regards.
"Just this final thought: "
O, could we only believe that were true! :)
As to the "libertine" comment, I knew you would not recognize it as humor. I've never seen you recognize humor in ANYone's posts.
You however, might be on DU, as you seem to buy their arguement that Clinton's behavior was "just about sex" and not about perjery, abuse of power and obstruction of justice; hook, line and sinker.
you are correct---I was not strictly correct. Someone closely related to Jefferson may have been the father, but considering that it was an "open secret" at the time, I would conclude that it is more than reasonable that Thomas Jefferson had illegitimate children.
"and laws about juvenile delinquency, public indecency and sex in public are completely irrelevant to this discussion.."
Gay Pride parades consist of public indecency, nudity, live sex acts, and children are witnesses and participants in the parades. So it is germane to the discussion.
And "free speech" didn't mean live sex acts, public nudity and so on until the ACLU teamed up with porn producers a la Larry Flynt. Thanks, ACLU and porn producers!
Clear to you.
The rest of us have stated over and over that we are not offering political arguments or demanding that our politicians do anythign about it.
Strawmen.
Thanks for your constnat snide inner circle humor. You forgot your cutesy little smiley, or maybe I didn't notice it, since you splatter them so liberally about your comments.
so you are admitting that Jefferon, Washington and Adams did write about anything like this
so explain to me what your point was in invoking them on this issue?
I got a couple - Moral Absolutes and Homosexual Agenda. Wagglebee does them too; lately I've been busy but I seem to find the time lately!
Freepmail me which one/s you want on and I'll add your name.
Regards - I'm really off now!
...and to ensure that the casual observer knows I mean it, I'll stand by that.
It's not a threat of unwarranted violence; it's a caution to Islamofascists that if you attack, expect a swift response.
If the cops show up at my door, I hope they accept the coffee and conversation.
Remember, it won't be seen as humor.
LOL! They also didn't denounce live sex shows, cannibalism, gay bath houses, although every state had strict anti-sodomy laws, which was fine with them. In fact, Jefferson loosened the punishment for sodomy from death to mere castration since he was an enlightened gentleman. They also never mentioned sado-masochism, teaching fisting in schools, nor scat rolling.
There were no laws then against internet porn, or, as far as I know, child prostitution.
Your argument is like people who say that since Jesus never mentioned homosexuality, it's a-okay according to the Bible.
What is your point, then?
You spelled "margarine" wrong. ;-)
Take my pick, you say? No problem, I'll take responsibility anytime. That means morality. That means the Government has a duty to promote pro-family values. Cheney is perhaps to blame for the Republicans losing the '06 elections. He - naturally - has to support his daughter, I would too if I were him. But The White House has given lip service to moral conversatives, and it cost them. Big time.
do you want to let people live their life the way they wish as long as they are not hurting others?
As has been established... Mary Cheney's actions are hurting us all. They are adding to the lack of values that made this Country great. So while I don't want the Government to regulate who can and can't have kids, I want policies in force with responsible people in office that promote anti-gay, pro-family values.
Perposterous. That's like saying swimming in lakes consists of skinny dipping. It might, it might not. Either way, public nudity is already illegal, so it's not a reason to ban lake swimming.
so drjimmy, if you aren't prepared to defend your country, the weak, the old, those of less strength, then shut up and walk.
