This is a family friendly site. Just because no one was naked or sticking anything in anything didn't mean it wasn't porn.

Apparently the mods thought it wasn't appropriate for FR.

The Left also think that Republicans control the MSM....

That isn't the point. You were suggesting that her work at Coors meant she was automatically promoting a leftist homosexual agenda. Sorry, that's not the case.

Gee how could we have thought otherwise? Looks like some haven't gotten the Memo. It's a Republican tromping on family values not a DEM. It's OK it's our team doing it. Gosh I'm so happy the GOP isn't like those sorry liberal Dems who support the breakdown of the traditional family/sarcasm.

Just because it's the Republican VP's daughter doing this does not make it right or excuse it. Wrong is wrong and some loose sight of that when the wrong is being done by high profile {she made herself such} persons in the GOP. The Bush/Cheney administration has been promoting a lot of leftest agenda's. Bush went after the gay vote early on remember? Mary is using her position as a member of the VP family to push her agenda just like she used Coors for that purpose. Pray tell why does a beer company need gay outreach?

They actually needed to hire her to defend themselves against charges they were anti-homosexual.

Secondly, I just love it when people jump up and down about this - because what you can do about it is precisely nothing. So long as no public funds were involved, this is a private transaction between private individuals, and thus your say in it is limited.

Vice President Cheney has been a leading figure for conservatives for many years. If you seriously think he or President Bush are somehow as leftist as you suggest, I in turn suggest you're more than a little deranged.

Uh huh let's just look and see. Look up Scott Coors or Coor's in snopes. And their domestic partner program. Uh yea they have a lot to defend in that area don't they? A company that up till 2004 paid for employee abortions. A policy changed when brought to light in a political race http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1186234/posts Yes they do support some conservative causes as well. But overall they pander. Here is a real gem Coor supports the Black and Blue 2004 Festival in Montreal, a weeklong gay fete. Click here

DENVER -- Ken Salazar is running as a law-and-order candidate, a former rancher from rural Colorado who said he still would have voted to authorize the war in Iraq though no weapons of mass destruction were found there. He is running against Pete Coors, who opposes the death penalty and makes beer for a living and whose company was among the sponsors this month of the Black and Blue 2004 Festival in Montreal, a weeklong gay fete.

Now the man who found it may well have been conservative but the new generation? No indeed. I don't think Coors has to defend itself against the charges you mention. Seems Liberal leanings are alive and well at Coors.

It did in the past. Mary Cheney left Coors in 2000 to help her father out. Your pointing out what they did in 2004 is meaningless, because during the 1970's, 80's and 90's, Coors had that reputation.

Try again.

They pulled it because justche bitched and moaned, which isn't the same thing. It's like giving in to a bratty child.

So did most companies. Did most of them go overboard to win gays over? NO!. No it's the political beliefs of the Coors family now of some of which are GOP supporters. You know it's hilarious in a way. Some despise Hillary Clinton yet are about as liberal as the woman and are proud Republicans. Yep what happened at Coors happened to the GOP. Political Correctness and key members becoming as liberal as the DEM although some DEM's {Blue Dogs} are far more conservative than a lot of Republicans these days it seems.

Tell you what. If I believed something was wrong I would not pretend it was right even if it was for the sake of my own kids. IOW papa should have told Mary No Thanks and to the effect you made your choices and those choices I can not support. You are still my daughter but do not ask me to support your lifestyle. I have no room for you in my campaign.

What ever happened to right and wrong in our nation? Why should any company or anyone have to defend itself for not being pro-gay? Why should they have to apologize for it or pander to them? Is that or is that not what the DEMs do? They shouldn't and neither should the GOP! That's the point. It's Political Correctness.

Hyperbole of this kind makes you look like a nutter. Blue Dogs are partially responsible for Speaker Pelosi having her job; how conservative is that?

IOW papa should have told Mary No Thanks and to the effect you made your choices and those choices I can not support. You are still my daughter but do not ask me to support your lifestyle. I have no room for you in my campaign.

I'm sure Vice President Cheney would reply in a way for which he is famous, basically saying, "f*** you". I don't believe we have the right to give him lessons on how to be a father. The idea that you think you're entitled to do so is pretty damn strange.

Coors made a business decision that it did want to sell to the gay market. Given the taste of Coors Light, I can see why they would want to try and foist it on people who didn't yet know Coors was trying to pass off horse urine as beer. Who the hell are you to tell them what their business strategy should or should not be?

Liberty means a number of things - it means you're free to rage all you like. It means that I can tell you I think you're bonkers. It means Mary Cheney, so long as she's funding it herself, can have a baby. It means Coors can make its business decisions without reference to you. It means you're free not to drink their beer. We're all comfortably pissing each other off and going our own way. That deal only breaks down if liberty is not respected - if the gays insist through hate crime legislation that you can't rage against them, it also means that if you support laws forbidding them to spout nonsense and do weird, strange things.

Think about it.

You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is extremely strange and illogical.

Bastard, that's exactly the term I wanted to use on the other Mary Cheney thread, but there seemed to be too many people defending her and everything she stands for over there.

Mods don't generally kowtow to someone complaining. If you or others want to look at pictures of women making out (or men, for that matter), I've heard there are plenty of other websites you can visit.

I will admit that I know nothing about her position at Coors, just making a comment about "they're" POV. If people think Republicans or conservatives (not obviously necessarily the same thing) control the MSM, they're certifiable. So anything else they say is entirely suspect as well.

There are plenty of Republicans who although adhering to some conservative principles, do not adhere to others. So Dick Cheney may hold some conservative principles, and not others. Is this a big suprise?

Promoting homosexuality as normal and natural is not a conservative principle, but often a Republican one.

"She was working as a professional gay person by doing "gay outreach" for Coors."

Can you back up that statement with any facts?

awwww, are you still upset about that - who's being the crybaby now?

Just as a reminder: Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web. We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse, to root out political fraud and corruption, and to champion causes which further conservatism in America. And we always have fun doing it. Hoo-yah!

Don't see anything there about wanna be erotic pictures of women making out....but I bet you have quite a collection, you can look at any old time.

I thought this was common knowledge...

http://archive.salon.com/politics/feature/2000/08/01/mary/index.html

She reached out to the gay and lesbian community for a major U.S. corporation. She was on the cutting edge of changing how a corporation reaches out to gay and lesbian customers."

Cheney herself told a lesbian magazine that she went to work for Coors "because I knew several other lesbians who were very happy here." Friends and colleagues say she has declared her sexuality in public on many occasions.

also...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Cheney

In 1993, she became one of the first employees of the Colorado Rockies baseball team, working in promotions when the team began playing in Denver. Thereafter she was a public relations manager for the Coors Brewing Company and worked as a gay and lesbian outreach coordinator, helping to end a national gay boycott of Coors.
