Labor, period.
We have millions of illegals working in the country, and yet we are at nearly statistical zero unemployment.
I'll tell you something else, maybe you like the idea of your kids or grandkids working in poultry slaughter houses, doing roofing work, or lawn maintenance, and working their way up to a crappy job from there, but not me. I'm working so that my kids will NOT do those jobs...I already did it for them.
So, if you want to send me your son or grandson to cut my grass, I pay $20 a cut, and that includes weed eating, edging, and clean up.
I did those jobs. Ya gotta start somewhere, Luis.
Who knows, it might do your kids good to spend a few years laying carpet or concrete finishing. What better way to motivate them to seek a better life?
There's nothing wrong with teaching ones' children the responsibilities of lawn care. If you are creative you can make a lesson out of it each time they cut the grass or make a competition out of it, it's up to you and your imagination. Geometry, horticulture, chemistry, mechanical upkeep and care of tools etc. Lots of good solid life's lessons can be learned from just cutting the lawn.
Don't you realize how blatently racist that sounds?
