Im happy to report that I was in constant correspondence with Ann regarding her chapters on Darwinism indeed, I take all responsibility for any errors in those chapters. :-)

" Heck, I think you can be an evolutionist and be a good Christian."
Depends if you think the bible is the inspired word of God. If you don't, then I question your understanding of either evolution of of Christianity.
I'm not an athiest... Another thing you got wrong...
What happened, zipper break?
Do you believe in God?
It goes way beyond that; it's the total package:
Those that fail to accept the Word of God completely have no part in any of this. If you're not a partaker in eternal life, then you are ultimately irrelevent. Calling yoursel a conservative while rejecting that which we are working to conserve is the deepest oxymoron.
God is real whether you accept Him or not.
Stalin credits Darwin with leading him to atheism.
As for Lysenko:
As for Hitler, Richard Weikart , a respected historian, wrote a book making a strong case for that he was influenced strongly by Darwin.
And remember, Hitler was anti-Catholic/anti-Christian. His goal was to destroy the Catholic Church and Christianity.
LOL!
No, creationists are biased by the fact that they value religious dogma more than truth.
Most darwinists refuse to consider their "theory" is wrong.
This makes no sense. If you mean "might be wrong," then you'd still be wrong. In fact, I'd venture to guess that most people who understand science would be excited were it shown that the science of the theory of evolution was **scientifically** shown to be false, because it would open new realms of inquiry to determine what's really going on. The "scientific" part is key, though. And that's why creationism and ID fail. Creationism and ID are jokes; "thunder and lightening happens when god is angry" kind of stuff.
No darwinist/evolutionist has ever really answered questions they just shout their theories even louder.
Sure they do. There are more than enough people on these threads who would love to answer legitimate questions, there are websites devoted to it, and I'd even venture to guess you could pick faculty names almost at random in biology departments at your local university, and it wouldn't be long before you'd find someone who'd be more than happy to take up some of his or her precious time to answer your questions.
As long as they are serious questions, seeking scientific answers, and not the ill-informed basking-in-ignorance that is typical of creationists. And that is the rub. Your typical creationist isn't interested in learning, in acquiring knowledge, but in defending their religious convictions and showing their religious piety, regardless of the science, and in many cases, in spite of it.
I've seen it on these very threads, where you get some creationist who tries to say that the centerpiece of the science of biology is bogus, but who doesn't understand basic science, even to the level of knowing the difference between a monkey and an ape. It is a cavalcade of ignorance.
The one I love the best is that life evolved out of bacteria living in rain drops.
Q.E.D.
When I was in grade school I could not imagine why someone would be put in jail for saying the earth wasn't the center of the universe.
Seems the roles are reversed now.
Depends on if you think someone's interpretation of an aspect of the Bible is right, or that God is going to grade you on your understanding of cosmology.
Now, granted, if you don't believe in the Fall you might have trouble in believing you need a Saviour, or you might blame God for the suffering in the world, but I'm convinced that there are those who believe in common descent and an old Earth but recognize their sins, accept the Redemption; believe in the Resurrection, and believe that somehow, someway something man did is ultimately responsible for the bad.
"Darwinism is bogus science." bump
Hostility? Heck, I'm with ya' all the way. Down with science!
It is a poorly worded question, because it steps over a preliminary question, namely "Does God exist?". And to that question, my answer is that I cannot know, nor can anyone else know, with anything remotely approaching the certainty necessary to make a firm conclusion either way. I've yet to see or experience anything dispositive on this question, in either direction, nor has anyone ever presented me with any reason to believe that a god or many gods exist or do not exist.
Is Global Warming also "truth"? or is it "Global Cooling"?
The cult of mere celebrity in the USA is a clear symptom of decadence.
Why should anyone care what this woman opines about metaphysics? There is little time enough in this mortal span to read the good stuff; why waste your hours with bosh and piffle?
Allan Bloom was, unfortunately, correct in his assessment of intellectual life in contemporary America.
All IMHO.
You are right and I've said the same thing. There are evos on here who don't join in any other discussions. Their one purpose is to insult those who believe in God as the creator.
