After 500+ posts, don't think of my last post as a hijacking. It's a mighty puny thread that can be highjacked with WORDS!
(We ALL know you have to have a metaphorical boxknife!)

No, just one ID somewhere doing one thing does the trick in knocking down your use of Occam.
He doesn't have to create the Universe ~ just one new lifeform is sufficient, and it doesn't even have to be all that different ~

You simply cannot substitute the word "evolution" with the word "change" without distorting the argument.Silly!
This is EXACTLY how "Evolution" works!
A little 'change'...
A little 'mutation'....
BaddaBoom baddaBING....
and you gotchaself a NEW creation: old things are gone - all has become new.

Then you are a Gnostic. The rest of us aren't, although most Moslems tend toward that sort of belief ~ Sharia Law certainly assumes there can actually be one fixed, immutable law.
Fascists with their fuhrer principle, and the Commies with Democratic Centrism, also believe in an objective reality which they can create and which everybody will believe even if they have to kill off the nonbelievers.
I think you should reassess your understanding of the place of "objective reality" in a universe where religious folks, of all stripes, accept change, revelations, miraculous occurrences, and so forth ~ all inexplicble at the time, but maybe explainable ultimately, and still useful in assisting in comprehending our existence for the time being.
Such mysticism allow them to accept the change that is constantly occurring.

"No, just one ID somewhere doing one thing does the trick in knocking down your use of Occam."
Nonsense. Nobody is saying that an intelligent designer doesn't exist (man). That in NO way is evidence that Man is the intelligent designer of the universe. There is simply no evidence for a designer of the universe, or of life as we see it on Earth, that isn't easier explained with natural means.
"He doesn't have to create the Universe ~ just one new lifeform is sufficient, and it doesn't even have to be all that different ~"
Nope, that's poppycock.

then why all the insults and derision towards those who are skeptical and don't accept it 100%? For the same reason we snicker at flat earthers. The phrase "less than 100%" includes "99.999%".

Elsie, we no longer use "gradualism" in our arguments. The DNA thing is out of the bag ~ use it.
On the other hand, we do know there are bounds to species ~ they are not just our imagination.

Revelation 13:11-18
11. Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.
12. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.
13. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.
14. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
15. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.
16. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,
17. so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

For all anyone can know the entire Universe is just in my mind.
However, the debate was not about the entire Universe, just ID as that applies to biological systems.

"Then you are a Gnostic."
Gnostics are not the only people who accept the existence of objective reality. You said they say we can know things 100% certain; I said we can't. Your conclusion does not follow from your premises.
"The rest of us aren't, although most Moslems tend toward that sort of belief ~ Sharia Law certainly assumes there can actually be one fixed, immutable law."
Ah, the subtle *You're really an islamo-facsist* bit. Sorry. You are digging yourself into a deep hole with your logical fallacies.
"Fascists with their fuhrer principle, and the Commies with Democratic Centrism, also believe in an objective reality which they can create and which everybody will believe even if they have to kill off the nonbelievers."
No, they believe in a subjective reality, where whatever they say or wish is true. You have it completely backwards. Thanks for invoking Godwin's law though.
"I think you should reassess your understanding of the place of "objective reality" in a universe where religious folks, of all stripes, accept change, revelations, miraculous occurrences, and so forth ~ all inexplicble at the time, but maybe explainable ultimately, and still useful in assisting in comprehending our existence for the time being."
Why should I have to yield to the subjective whims of others?
"Such mysticism allow them to accept the change that is constantly occurring."
It allows them to reject change. YEC's are a great example.
Again, post-modernist relativism isn't my bag.

More complex "processing" perhaps, with new programs (contained where) ~ yes, that is the mystery ~ what really makes the difference between a man and a fruit fly ~ certainly not millions of genes! Not much difference between species in the cellular machinery.

Many times the phrase has been used by E's to try and denigrate the intelligence of the OT writers.

I thought the Hebrews were sheep herders who lived out on the plains. Goat herders live in the mountains ~ that would be the Medes.
