How would you feel if, in the aftermath of 9/11, the U.S. government had decided to contract out airport security to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the country where most of the operational planning and financing of the attacks occurred? My guess is you, like most Americans, would think it a lunatic idea, one that could clear the way for still more terror in this country. You probably would want to know who on earth approved such a plan -- and be determined to prevent it from happening.
How could we? They were afterall, for the nomination of Harriet Miers.

whoops, sorry guys...wrong thread lol
DP World is owned in its entirety by the UAE. Thats one hundred percent. The UAE is a FOREIGN COUNTRY. That is, not a foreign company, but a FOREIGN COUNTRY. I have no problem comprehending that, but you sure seem to.
Good list. Thanks for posting.
It ain't over till the fat Lady Sings. Bush has failed miserably on enforcing our Southern Borders and now he pulls this stunt. I am amazed that the Democrats don't focus on these real issues as opposed to the stupid stuff that they pretend are issues.
On this issue, Hillary and Schumer are right.

I want to investigate his position more, but I'm still not liking his DP World connection in the middle of all of this, especially given his expertise, AND his connection to SeaLand, since Maersk/Sealand was gobbled up by DP World. Anyone connected to this fiasco is suspect, and having him under Norm "No Profiling" Minetta, I am doubly uneasy...
Thanks for your research, and your updates. I may have to apologioze to David Sandborn and all here, but not yet. I want to look into that more.
Check Maritime news on the DHS homesite. There is nothing there and it hasn't been updated since 2004.
Gee what faith you put in DHS.
Seems like every rock we turn over reveals some new revelation that makes this situation progressively worse.
Thank God and the Founding Fathers that Bush can't get this done all by himself.
Congress has the power to make it illegal for anybody but Americans to work in companies that provide national security.
Nothing that I've posted indicates that I put faith in DHS.
LOL!!!
That's what I think every time I vote.
"Congress has the power to make it illegal for anybody but Americans to work in companies that provide national security."
Now why would we want to go and do that when some special people have a sweetheart ($) deal on the UAE-run ports?
