Fox News alert a few minutes ago says the Dover School Board lost their bid to have Intelligent Design introduced into high school biology classes. The federal judge ruled that their case was based on the premise that Darwin's Theory of Evolution was incompatible with religion, and that this premise is false.

So creationists are just carefully avoiding plagarism when they make things up?

Not when they all keep making the same things up, over and over again. :)

Creationists do no wrong. Evos do nothing but wrong. You know the rules by now.

Lack of answer by Protagoras noted.
No athiests documented as supporting slavery.
One "Christian" documented as supporting slavery.
Thanks for the backup.
And thanks for reminding us and not letting him get away with it - so many "hit and run" statements get lost in these threads, it's important to hold people accountable for their words.

Imbecilic posts deserve no answer. Your point, if you had one, was past inane.
I always ignore childish nonsense from Jr High mentality people. And trust me, no matter what other crazy crap you post to or about me, it will be ignored.

Let's see. You opened up with the claim that you have seen "many atheists" defend slavery. Someone responds that they have seen no atheists defending slavery, but at least one Christian has here on FR. Support was given for the claim of a Christian supporting slavery. You, however, have not provided any evidence whatsoever for your claim of atheists defending slavery.
Do you concede that you have no evidence? No. Do you attempt to find references to support your claim? No. Instead you arrogantly declare anyone who takes issue with your unsupported assertion is immature.

Don't forget that he then insults those who call him on his own falsehoods. That's the only reply he can muster, and it's a transparent ploy to divert attention from the stupid thing he said.
I should be used to creationist tactics by now - lie, and when caught lying blame anybody else. Heck, the school board members did it on the stand and very, very few of these "principled" Christians seem to mind.
Somehow, this behavior always surprises and disappoints me. One of these days, I'll learn.

Ok, let's see if we can get this straight.
You claim that there are no atheists who embrace or tolerate slavery.
And you claim that because some poster on this site who claims to be a Christian defends slavery that Christians in general defend slavery? Is that the inane point that you and the two twits you are in concert with are trying to make when you drag up this old thread?
If not, precisely what point are you trying to make?
And aren't you the same conspiracy theory nut job who pretends to be a libertarian? Bringing a little baggage from another thread where you were made to look the absolute fool by your own posts?
Here is a list of known atheists who embraced slavery. I'm sure you can focus on it name by name and attempt to say these people were believers, but it would only make you look more obtuse by the second.
Adolf Hitler, that's right, the number one atheist loved slavery. He tried to enslave entire countries and races. He had quite a bit of success.
Mao Tse-tung
Fidel Castro
Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Epicurus
Marquee De Sade
Karl Marx
Vladimir Lenin
Etc, Etc.
It's anyone's guess why I even bother with this childish nonsense. You remain,,,,OBTUSE.

One line assures that I will never respond to someone like you, and certainly not YOU ever again. I am under the assumption- and believe it still- that THIS site might offer postings somewhat above the level of your typical "americaonline juvenile". Apparently that is not always so judging from your post to me. I do not drink and your assumptions about a person you do not know only make YOU look stupid....and I feel quite comfortable saying this to you just based on what you have posted.
I see. Whereas, it's perfectly polite for you to imply, out of the blue, that I'm a drug-using leftest libertine.
I repeat: There are those posters in here who are leftists looking for trouble or "libertarian light" types who have no conception of what being a libertarian is about. YOU are one of those.
I rest my case.
While I am quite sure you think your smarmy post made you seem knowledgeable or "worldly", let me hasten to assure you- you come across merely small, mean and stupid.
While I'm quite sure you can throw a snit, your proud refusal to consider even the elements of science that the ICR and the Discovery Institue concede is accurate, does not bowl me over with admiration. If you do not wish to continue this conversation, I won't miss you overmuch.

Hitler wasn't an atheist, he was a creationist.

We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.

I was never even close to him, no need to distance myself. He thought that the Aryan race was the perfect special creation of God. He thought that preserving the Aryan race was doing the work of the Creator. The claim he was an atheist is without any merit whatsoever. Deal with it.

Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith.

"He thought no such thing. Your claim is without any merit whatsoever, deal with it."
He said it explicitly. Deal with it...if you can.
""Human culture and civilization on this continent are inseparably bound up with the presence of the Aryan. If he dies out or declines, the dark veils of an age without culture will again descend on this globe. The undermining of the existence of human culture by the destruction of its bearer seems in the eyes of a folkish philosophy the most execrable crime. Anyone who dares to lay hands on the highest image of the Lord commits sacrilege against the benevolent Creator of this miracle and contributes to the expulsion from paradise."
"It is a sin against the will of the Eternal Creator if His most gifted beings by the hundreds and hundreds of thousands are allowed to degenerate in the present proletarian morass, while Hottentots and Zulu Kaffirs are trained for intellectual professions."
"What we must fight for is to safeguard the existence and reproductionof our race and our people, the sustenance of our children and the purityof our blood, the freedom and independence of the fatherland, so that ourpeople may mature for the fulfillment of the mission allotted it by the Creator of the universe."
"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord,"
"Compared to the absurd catchword about safeguarding law and order, thus laying a peaceable groundwork for mutual swindles, the task of preserving and advancing the highest humanity, given to this earth by the benevolence of the Almighty, seems a truly high mission."
"The result of all racial crossing is therefore in brief always the following: To bring about such a development is, then, nothing else but to sin against the will of the Eternal Creator."
""finally to put an end to the constant and continuous original sin of racial poisoning, and to give the Almighty Creator beings such as He Himself created."
"The folkish-minded man, in particular, has the sacred duty, each in his own denomination, of making people stop just talking superficially of God's will, and actually fulfill God's will, and not let God's word be desecrated. For God's will gave men their form, their essence and their abilities. Anyone who destroys His work is declaring war on the Lord's creation, the divine will."
"Then, from the child's story-book to the last newspaper in the country, and every theatre and cinema, every pillar where placards are posted and every free space on the hoardings should be utilized in the service of this one great mission, until the faint-hearted cry, "Lord, deliver us," which our patriotic associations send up to Heaven to-day would be transformed into an ardent prayer: 'Almighty God, bless our arms when the hour comes. ' "

Let's see if we can get this right, you think that Hitler believed all the things he wrote?
Serious delusions seem to be getting more common around here.
Do me a favor, I'll concede anything all your folks want, just don't post to me anymore. This thread is a waste of time and effort.
It's not about EV or ID anymore, it's about picking apart posts to keep bumping the same old tired thread. Good bye.
