Baton Rouge is apparently okay. She will be safe there. But I watched FOX coverage all day yesterday even with my company and while I was making peach pies. It is one monster storm. Miss and Alabama are not getting off easy either.
I agree sarasota. The "right" rocks are being overturned and although it won't be pretty, I think that Beth will get her answer meanwhile taking down the "island of pigs"!! You know your pushing buttons when the the President (?) Nel Oduber is suing Jossy because he stated that he was corrupt. If it's not true then the guy has nothing to worry about. Why wouldn't this guy just Ignore the comments? Instead he's bringing even more negative attention to this disgusting place. and btw, at the top of this thread - look at the look on Deepak's face - does that smack of scared sh*tless to you? It does to me.

Possibilities have been mentioned that Natalee could have been taken to neighboring islands, Venezuela, Columbia or Arabia.

The indications are certainly pointing at PVDS.
That's a HUGE question. WHY can't the authorities get a search warrant for the Van der slut PROPERTY including the well. What better way for a person to disappear than to put her body where a search is "off limits". This bugs the heck out of me and has all along. I hope Beth starts screaming over this PUBLICALLY!!

I hadn't heard that Jossy is being sued. Seems corruption is rampant and we'll just have to wait and see who holds the power.

When I posted this here back in July we all discussed the possiblities. Unless someone cracks this will be tough to prove. The question will be 'Who are these guys the most afraid of...ALE and prison or the people that they may have sold her to?
If it's Venezsuelans she may not be alive now. If it's Saudis she will never been seen again but there's a chance she is still alive. JMHO
Yup, he's being sued. Also, Beth asked that we pray for Jossy because he had to be taken to the ER for chest pains. He's probably under a great deal of pressure for so openly backing Beth in this matter.
Still no opportunity to search PVDS property. Why not?
He said he's never been there but he knows where it is.
If I were Jossy, I'd be very careful about what I eat and from whom. You just never know.

The only thing that is somewhat weak is the suggestion that she was sold into some form of sexual slavery.
I don't disagree with this, in fact I think this is what happened...but not into the convention slave trade business. I think she was too old and too high profile for that.
There is another shoe, however, that fits quite well and which is not far from this premise of sexual slavery.
It has been suggested that Nat was selected by a man or a group of men that had been watching her all week (it is too coincidental she disappeared on the last night before her departure...that being stressed as the best occasion for any range of abductions/rapes).
My theory here is only based on likelihood and common sense and intuition/gut. But, here is my latest suggestion (wrong though it will surely be...truth being stranger than fiction).
As regards motive(s), they are so plentiful on Aruba that they need no supportive argument. There are so many motives for foul play involving a young American woman that one need not worry about motive. But for the record, motives run the gamut from financial/commercial to sexual/hormonal to ritualistic. Nat might even have been abducted merely to make her the prize of a new gambling game (winner not only gets the pot, he also gets a drugged, but otherwise beautiful young American coed).
Bottom line (and about time, ain't it?).
Considering the players that comprise the front line (the pimps and friends) and considering the business of Aruba (dissipation by way of sensuality), I think the odds are that Nat was abducted by the pimps (but I don't think they raped her or killed her). I think they passes her to another person. Someone who was willing to pay for her.
The island has been searched alright but only exposed, outdoor and natural locales, not houses and other structures. Houses and basements and attics and warehouses, etc haven't been searched (to my knowledge). Why would any clever person (knowing that in Aruba, crime owns justice) hide the body outdoors.
As Paulus said "no body, no crime." And, that statement alone tells us she is most likely dead.
Anyway RR, the blame for this long post of mine I lay at your feet. If you hadn't stirred up this wee, but curious brain, I wouldn't be thinking and writing.
