Sounds to me like they are denying that the Aruban Justice system is corrupt only that it is misunderstood. There appears to be NO CONCERN for what happened to Natalee (the lost but most important person here) and her family. At this point I hope that Aruba gets down to the last place ever recommended to visit. Let the place ROT!!
After seeing this picture of the demonstration, I am glad Beth left that hellhole. I centainly fear for her safety when she is there alone. She needs bodyguards on that island.

A good article. May the US CONTINUE to support Columbia in every way. Venezuela is a grotesque country really. The stuff that goes on in that country is beyond dispicable. The Dutch I'm sure would go for that kind of thing.
If ever the US needed to explore other sources of oil it is NOW (like yesterday). Canada is Loaded with it. 95% of our oil wells are capped by agreement. I have never understood it. But it's time to uncap them and start them going. I know the tar sands oil is a bit more difficult to extract at first but once going, it is free flowing as far as I understand. Chavez in nothing but ANOTHER CORRUPT DICTATOR. I'm sure he doesn't want any US military presence. It might interfere with his drug trade also.

I have a hard time understanding Helen Lejeuz's English (as bad as Tito) and she has never sounded very forceful to me since they hired her. I have given her the benefit of the doubt until now because I knew that Beth didn't hire her because she needed a spokesman since Vinda was much better if that's what was needed. I always suspected she hired Helen because Helen had someone she could get inside info from, probably someone still in the prosecutor's office from when she was there, but that's just my opinion. This recent stuff of Helen trying to justify the crap that Dompig is demanding that Beth do in order to get an "audience" with him was pathetic. There is no justification for the questions he's asking about the trust fund.
All the interviews that Dompig and ALE do in Papiamentu newspapers is to shape the response they want from the natives. It's how it has always worked there. I just can't believe they think that citizens of US will remain in the dark while they talk out of both sides of their mouths, completely ignorant of what they're doing.
This is an ugly situation, but it has been shaping up to hit the fan at some point from Day # 1 since the VDS were already prepared to lie or do whatever was necessary before NH's family every arrived on Aruba. All they have done is dance this down the road to the inevitable blowup, but it is in their best interest to put as much time between her disappearance and her parents' realizing no help is forthcoming since memories fade and whatever evidence there was grows stale.
I tried to pick everybody's head prior to the Sept. elections there, everybody I thought who might have any knowledge of what the umpteen parties stand for because I suspected there might be a connection like you suggest. The Arubans I was fairly sure could have answered me were very opaque when it came to this line of questioning like they knew what I was trying to get at and they deliberately played dumb. I really think most of the native Arubans would like for us to "mail it in" (just send them a check for what we would have spent there and stay home.) Unfortunately, they seem to be a reflection of what most of this hemisphere has become as far as their attitude toward America. A lot of this has come with the help of Castro, the Chinese, commies and socialists in general, and it's blossoming under Hugo because he has $ to give to anybody who gets on board with him.
Cuba is such a great model huh? It's a run down pathetic dump except for the tourist areas. Their medical system is archaic.

Agreed. And one of these days I pray that some good old boys (the Special Forces types from the U.S.) will do what needs to be done to get answers from Joran and/or the Kalpoe brothers. Answers are WAAAAAY overdue. Natalee's family will never stop getting jerked around by the corrupt Aruban government and it's time they realize it and go to plan B.
Slighty off topic response, but made me think of this last night.
My Uncle married someone from Peru. I actually hadn't talked to her in several years and just spoke within the last few months back when she found out my dad passed away. I was shocked at her English - she's lived here 45+ years now. But she told my mom and I years ago "I understand Englesh fine, but when I no wanna talk, I no understand Engleesh" (at the time refering to not wanting to talk to my grandmother)
When I was listening to the attorney (in between squeals from my daughter) last night. I thought - she's being obtuse, and trying to sidestep - she absolutely understands what is going on.....

You may be right about what she is doing. My suspicion is that she and Tito mumble whether they are speaking English, Dutch, Papiamentu, Spanish, etc. They both sound like they have a mouth full of marbles. It really isn't that they mispronounce words like someone who has seen the word written but never heard it pronounced; they mumble and drone.

The worst is yet to come. On November 11th, the appeal by Paulus van der sloot will be granted removing him from suspicion so he may sign another contract to work for Holland.
He is still being paid until December 31st when his contract is up.
The sight of him coming out of court with his lawyers and a paid PR slut John Pauly to a small paid group of locals will be too much to stomach.

I totally agree Canadian. From the beginning this case has been nothing but a deliberate cover-up by those in power in Aruba. They falsely arrested two innocent people while allowing the real perps to run free and hide evidence.
I think there's even a possibility of involvement by the Sex Traffic Scum in Natalee's disappearance. They would have the money and power to influence the investigation. There were rumors early on of Natalee being taken to Venzuala by two men and a woman, if I'm recalling correctly. Recently I watched a lengthy (4 hour) movie called Human Trafficing. It was so evil and made me wonder once again if Natalee wasn't taken by those devils.
It's real simple. The Joran lie was accepted as the truth and the black guys truth was accepted as a lie.
No sex ring, just simple. Joran van der sloot raped and murdered Natalee. His father used his connections to unsolve this case with Karin Jannsen, Jan van der straaten and Dennis Jacobs.
We need a serious and complete boycott of Aruba, the Netherlands and need the American labor unions to not work cargo of any kind destined for Aruba.
