The best tidbit was the attorney saying she has obtained declarations from 3 Americans that witnessed Joran's statements that first night when the met up at the Sloot's home. Those statements/declarations had never been obtained by ALE, but have now been given to the prosecutor. Also no statements were taken from Arubans that were also present. Two uniformed ALE present during this same meeting omitted Joran's confession of sexual contact with Natalee.

Seems like anything that was negative for Joran - they didn't put in reports. Nice job, Aruba, the low crime island - another lie. It is taking only one grief stricken AMERICAN mom - at the lowest point in her life - to take down that island. She is, no doubt, getting her strength from The Lord. I'd love to jump the fence pnsn!! The only thing is my husband couldn't practice law in the US. You have to be born there I believe to practice law. I sort of thought that the NAFTA treaty (for what its worth) was going to allow this practice. Not so far. And your right, I have absolutely no feelings except contempt left for Canada. The only thing I like is the scenery and the cleanliness of the country. Our governments are from Hell. I do have so many great American friends tho, I have followed American politics for 20 years. I don't follow them here except in a cursory manner. Actually I also have two American cousins. My mother's brother married an American lady. They live in Seattle.

Financing of government buildings still not finalized
ORANJESTAD — The formalities surrounding the construction of three government buildings in Oranjestad still haven’t been finalized. This fact was announced by Aruba Investment Bank (AIB) and glaringly contradicts information given a few weeks ago.
Contracts with the architects of the three buildings were signed shortly before the elections. According to information imparted by AIB, deeds were simultaneously effected for the transfer of the properties. Those properties belong to Aruba and must be transferred to the Stichting Onroerend Goed Aruba (SOGA – Association Immovable Estate Aruba). SOGA’s objective is to construct, finance and manage buildings for government use. After a certain period of time the buildings must be consigned to the government. The association was established for the three projects in question, but doesn’t have to confine itself to that.
Several of the media recently reported that one of the properties, located next to the John F. Kennedy-school, has several liens on it. AIB responded by explaining that there were indeed three liens, two old ones and a third one that is currently in the process of being lifted.
It furthermore appears from the explanation that construction won’t be started for at least two months. SOGA, a joint effort between AIB and the APFA government employees pension fund, has yet to bring about the financing of the 54 million florins necessary. The liens on the properties must also be lifted. Only after all of this has been concluded can the deeds for the transfer of the property to SOGA and the mortgage be executed. ORANJESTAD — The board of the Stichting Middelbaar Onderwijs Aruba (SMOA – Association of High School Education Aruba) has imposed a lien on approx. four companies. The companies have been illegally producing clothing with the logo of Colegio Arubano. The stock of school uniforms are not allowed to be sold.
Last school year Colegio Arubano introduced a school uniform. It consisted of polo-shirts embroidered with the school logo. The SMOA-board made a public tendering to enable all interested companies to register for the supply of the shirts. Based on the price-quality ratio the choice fell on Casa de Lannoy. A two year contract was signed. The company was supposed to supply polo shirts in just a few colors and in most sizes. Shortly after the introduction of the school uniform it was ascertained that more and more students were parading around in clothing that did have the school’s logo, but were in a different color and model. The situation seemed to be getting out of control and by the beginning of the new school year it became apparent that many students had not both their uniforms at Casa de Lannoy, but at different companies. “More options and a better quality”, was the most common argument given. However the school management was of the opinion that only the selected uniform could be worn and called in the board.
the SMOA-board considers the use of the Colegio Arubano logo without consent an illegal activity. This is why a lien was imposed on Anly Printing, Impex, Tropical Impressions and Emco. The last two mentioned companies didn’t register for last year’s public tendering, but are now apparently greedy for the clientele of approx. 2,400 students.
Some of the students have meanwhile purchased new shirts, as wearing an unofficial uniform is officially not allowed starting this week.
Soon the board will decide whether a company will again be appointed to supply uniforms through a public tendering for the new school year or whether more suppliers will be permitted to place the logo of Colegio Arubano on polo shirts.

Would it be possible for Beth to bring a civil suit against the three murders in the USA in absentia. In other words, get a warrent for their arrest in this country. That way if they ever set foot in America they could be grabbed. If they could be convicted here or something like that we could send bounty hunters to drag them back here....I guess that's a little reach, but a civil suit may not be.

Natalee's death was the act of a terrorist group. The had both an "Mens Rae and Actus" Rae at the time of the crime. This was also an international incident, to which our powers to be, did not engage the enemy other than hyperbole verbage(letters& a few phone calls) (nominal FBI agents)
Maybe if Natalee had been a resident of NOLA.La then Bush would have been jumping through his ass to obtain justice for Natalee, the Holloway's and America.
The USA should never allow a "Puke-Hole" like Aruboo/Holland(Haight-Ashbury) to escape justice for the murder of one of our's.
The time for circumspection has arrived which should entail the sleeping giant to roll up it's sleeves and "do what must be down."(Justice)as we know it should have arrived.

As I have watched this debacle of injustice unfold it brings to mind the song, "Don't Worry Be Happy." Yes???? Oh Hell No!!! we should not all sit back and see everything we hold precious in life, destroyed by the inaction and non existent fortitude on the "whitehouse crowd" on the hill.
If Ronnie were here today and in power. Iraq and the other muslims conutries would be glowing or smoldering. Aruba would have cooperated beyond imagination in bringing those perps(terrorists) to justice and the recovery of Natalee's remains.
Damn!! I sure do miss&love "those eighties," with a "Man among Men" as our POTUS, that excellent music and most of all the pride that was instilled in America and Americans.

yes, a suit could be filed, but in all respects it would be dismissed because all instances of that suit have occured on foreign ground...a better procedure would be to write a detailed book that uses factual lineage to accuse everyone concerned and then hope they react with a suit here, similar to I Accuse, which covered the Dreyfus case (different crime, similar tactic, against a government sponsored coverup) in france...or, in final thought, should steve croes actually file a defamation suit, that would open a can of worms that would wonderfully be terrific right at the crime scene location of aruba...GO STEVE!!!
another tactic would be to add slang terms to our language, like anytime a person is criminally intruded upon and the perp is known but can't be prosecuted, we could say we've been slooted, and a person who does it is a slooter...sadly, its nearly impossible to add the kalpoes to this tactic, though, because anything you attach their name to would always be confused with dog food
