Just discovered this:

There have been reports that four women have vanished from Aruba since 1998.

One note on a message board even speculates that there may be a serial killer at large.

But police on the island, which depends on its $565 million- a-year tourist industry, deny kidnappings occur regularly.

A police spokesman said: "We know nothing of any other missing persons from this island and we have received no further reports of women being attacked. We regard our island as a safe place for tourists to visit and the Natalee Holloway case won't change that."

Oh, what's that you say--he's a civil servant, good Protestant, married for 20 years to the same woman, upstanding citizen? Not the profile of an SK?

Well then-- just look at Dennis Rader of Wichita, Kansas. Confessed serial killer. Married for 30 years, 2 grown kids, Boy Scout Leader, President of his Lutheran congregation.

Maybe Paul VDS was sweating bullets when Greta interviewed him in his home because he has A LOT TO HIDE...not just assisting his son in the disposal of a body.

When are we going to send down the CIA? Oh, never mind--they're already there, doing a covert op on this case.

Aruba is no different from any other place on earth. I don't know who they think they are kidding when they continuously spout we regard our island as a safe place for tourists to visit.

We have thought that some places here in America were safe (some churches for one), we found out that we were wrong.

Aruba has its share of thiefs, murderers, swindlers, dope pushers, etc just like every other place on this earth.

They must think that we are willy fo fo or something.

Was that breaking news or could you have misunderstood. I thought the prosecutor was on vacation.

On Thursday, Aruba Attorney General Caren Janssen (search) said investigators have found no evidence to suggest that Holloway was dead.

Maybe that is what her father was referring to a few days aago......we have other evidence.

Netherlands uses F16's in search for Natalee Holloway ANP THE HAGUE - The Netherlands sends three F16's to Aruba to assist in the search for the missing American girl Natalee Holloway. The planes leave this weekend. From monday they will use special camera's to search the Island and the ocean around it. The F16's can search at night with infrared camera's. Justice minister Donner and Kingdom relations minister Pechtold and defense undersecretary Van der Knaap decided that this friday. The offer is talked over with Aruban justice minister Croes who asked for dutch help earlier this week.

(The Dutch JD have used Royal Netherlands Air Force F16 before in searches, mainly for graves, but not on this scale and not on Aruba, Gerben)

If you're referring to Trapenberg, I realized my mistake a while ago, but have been perusing RW and SM to see where I saw it. Somebody mentioned it somewhere....just another rumor, I guess. In fact, in looking for that, I found confusion on this Lorenzo guy's last name. Several last names are quoted now.

I said my brain was fried about an hour ago, and I thought I'd get away from this, only to turn Fox on! The reporter seemed to think they found "evidence" of Natalee. Now I'm back here!

I have an additional interest in the case. Natalee was going to attend the Univ. of Alabama on the same scholarhip that my wife and I had.
