One of the guest that was on Fox News yesterday stated that the Equusearch group would be searching in the northwest area today, near the California lighthouse.

Tim Miller of Equusearch stated yesterday that the search today would be very dangerous.

I believe it goes something like this:

J:  PaPa, Im afraid I may be in some kind of trouble!

P: What is it son?

J:  I picked up an American girl tonight PaPa and had to bump her off

no need to worry though me, Satin & Depunk took care of the body

P: Then what seems to be the trouble son?

J: Well PaPa, what if the Americans come looking for me some of them saw us leaving Carlo's together last night

P: Well son no need to worry..no body no crime right....just tell them you dumped her off at the Holiday Inn..I'll talk to some of the boys down the station and you won't tell your MaMa I was out gambling all night a deal?

J: Ok PaPa it's a deal

I did not catch the name of the beach last night and so it was my intention to get it from the transcript today. But then it was not recorded in the transcript.

What sparked my interest was Croes's deviation from going directly to the Holiday Inn, why was he going to other places. But I guess that is understandable, something (known locations) just pop in ones head when one is searching for someone.

Arashi, Boca Catalina and Malmok Beaches, near the California Lighthouse, are all part of the Arashi Underwater Park. Calm water, gentle currents, shallow reefs, and superb visibility make them popular swimming and snorkeling sites. There are a few shade huts at Arashi but no other facilities. Snorkelers spot large elk horn coral, sponges, and schools of colorful fish six to 30 feet below the water’s surface. Steady winds at Malmok draw windsurfers

I could have sworn Croes said Arashi beach, but maybe I heard him incorrectly.

Was just googling Arashi beach, and it is apparently near the lighthouse -- is there only the 1 lighthouse up on the north, where N was supposedly taken, at least in one of the stories?

I agree about the brothers. The security guard Greta interviewed said that Deepak believed N would be coming back soon, so he wouldn't have realized the impact of lying. Actually, I believe that. Otherwise why would he lie and get into trouble (unless he was part of the deed and I doubt he was). Friend's dad who is a member of the legal establishment asks him to concoct story and he does. If she's just disappeared and he expects her to come home, then why not? Drugs are a problem there and he may have suspected that Joran had given her some, so he lies to help his friend cover it. But once he learns that N is really missing, his lying has him in very hot water. Not sure, just a thought. I don't have strong views one way or the other yet, but I still suspect Daddy is more guilty than they think.

All of my laundry is dirty. I see what I'll be doing over the Fourth!

According to the people that were on the news talk show yesterday the northwest section that is assumed to be the search location for today has a fast, swift current.

The other side is said to be different.

Picture of the beach area called Hadikurari Beach, directly south of Malmok, is also called Fisherman’s Huts.

(large rocks in the water)

Beach Map
http://www.arubariba.com/ArubamapBeachMap1.jpg

Hadikurari Beach – This beach is known for terrific snorkelling and is the island’s Mecca for windsurfing. Every June Hadikurari hosts the Hi-Winds World Challenge, which is an important pro-am windsurfing competition. The shallow water makes for excellent swimming and facilities, which can be found at the beach, include picnic tables and shade huts, and the white sandy beach is flecked with pebbles and shells.

Arashi Beach – The calm surf and sandy bottom make this one of Aruba’s best swimming beaches. The sand is soft but does have pebbles and stones in it. There are a few beach huts, which provide protection from the sun. The Elkhorn coral is a great place for snorkelling.

Fishermen's Hut, Hadikurari
Continent: Caribbean
Country: Aruba
Region: northwest
Next Big City(Airport): Oranjestad
Next Town: Malmok

Goodies:

Water:
Flat shallow water (waist deep).

Beach:
The beach offers the easiest launching and access to the water. White powder sand, some pebbles and stones. No facilities, but there are some beach huts for shade.

Weather:
Aruba is warm all year, 28-32°C. At night it doesn't cool down at all, it's only the sun missing, but the wind stays, so it can get a little chilly. You can count on some hotter days during the summer month (July-September). Aruba is mostly dry, even in the rainy season, the rain doesn't really last longer than 10 min. The water temperature is around 27°C, so forget your wetsuit!

Wind:
North:
Northwest:
West:
Southwest:
South:
Southeast:
East:
Northeast:
It's blowing here in Aruba Northeast all year long, maybe some lighter days in the month of September-November and in the beginning of December. But that only means it won't blow every day over 15 knots. The chance you can kiteboard are always 90%. Don't forget your small kite sizes! Days of 25 knots are quite normal. Offshore winds.

How to get there:
Only in the high season (November until Easter ) you need to reserve a rental car. Otherwise there are buses going from downtown to the hotel area and minibuses to any destination. Of course you can rent Scooters, Harleys, Squats/ 4weeler, horses, bikes as well. Take the main island highway from the hotel area all the way towards the lighthouse look to your left at the end of the housing area. Accessible car or taxi, or a 10-minute walk from the last bus stop on Malmok.

Rules & Restrictions:
There are rules at the fishermen's hut. You may kite there before 10.00 am and after 5.00/6.00 pm. The time between you may not kite there, because of the windsurfing school.

The Kalpoes may also have supplied Joran with the date rape drug, hence their motive for supporting his story, at least early on.

Do you think the deviation could have been due to the "young" guy that was riding with him? Just wondering of they were trying to think of places where young people hung out and that's why they didn't go back to HI.
