The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long
B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.
D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse - the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.
D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.
G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

Thanks, truthluva. I really think that one day Beth Twitty will write a book about this nightmare Aruban experience. I hope she is keeping a journal. She will not be trying to make money off of her tragedy, but to tell the world what a corrupt and dangerous island Aruba is. It is obvious that Beth and other family members know things they are not comfortable telling now, but she will one day share them with the world and the cockroaches in Aruba better keep that in mind. The light will only get brighter.
Darn straight we would be just as worried about a nice black American girl disappearing under the same circumstances. And when the young freshman MALE disappeared from UCLA's dorms, he got lots of attention. When a good kid, a student with a nice family, disappears, it is news. When you have one HECK of a strong mother, like Natalee was blessed to have, that is going to stay in the news.

Yeah...I wish a book like that could have a happy ending but I don't see much hope for it.
She is keeping a journal; I heard her say so. I only wish it could have a happy ending.
Not to mention some inaccuracies such as PVDS is not a prominent judge...he is s judge in training. And they are not that well off. Just wannabe's in my opinion. It's a BS article in my opinion.

I keep hoping this gang is so arrogant, having have paid LE in many countries to look the other way, that Natalee may still be alive.
Almost everyone involved has been stonewalling. Those in power and control are pulling the strings. No one dare spill the beans unless they have a real death wish.
I would tell Holland and their "friendly little islands" to go to hell, but they're already there.
Thank you for telling me. I've been hoping she would have a record of every miserable day she has spent there and is keeping track of every lie the LE, Prosecutor & government officials have told her. They will all live to regret it one day.
Probably already posted here somewhere, but this article talks about a possible link between Natalee and Amy Bradley, the girl missing from the cruise ship docked off Aruba in 1997. Also interesting and frightening possibilities here that chill me to the bone.

Netherlands reassures US public over Holloway case 1 July 2005 AMSTERDAM - The Dutch ambassador has told the American public everything possible is being done to resolve the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. "I fully understand and appreciate the feelings of the many Americans who have expressed their legitimate concerns to my Embassy," Ambassador Boudewijn van Eenennaam said in a special statement.
The message posted on the embassy's website continued: "I want to reassure the American people that everything is being done to resolve this tragic case. We are standing together in our efforts and our hope." The 18-year-old vanished on 30 May while holidaying on Aruba with friends to celebrate their graduation from high school. Aruba is a Caribbean island of 71,000 people and an autonomous part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Local police suspect Holloway is dead but her body has not been found despite intensive searches over the last four weeks.
Three young men who were the last people seen with Holloway are in custody but they continue to deny any involvement in her disappearance and suspected murder. The main suspect in custody is the teenage son of a Dutch judge who works on the island. The magistrate was briefly detained himself on suspicion of being an accessory to kidnap leading to the victim's death but the judge was released due to lack of evidence.
Aruba's chief prosecutor Karin Janssen, however, has told CNN the judge advised his son that without a body police would have no case. Janssen stressed this is not the case as the authorities can prosecute without a body.
The failure to find Holloway dead or alive has led to extensive coverage of the case in the US media and damaged Aruba's reputation as a safe holiday destination. The ability of the local authorities to resolve the case has also been called into question.
The Aruban government was so concerned about the negative impact on the island's image it asked the government in The Hague to intervene. Ambassador Van Eenennaam's statement on Thursday was an attempt to address the concerns about the case.
He stressed the search and investigation was being carried out by the "Aruban and Netherlands authorities, in close cooperation with United States officials and the citizens of Aruba..." "Much to the dismay of everyone, there has been no sign of her thus far and the pain grows deeper with every passing day. On behalf of the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, I want to express my sympathy and support to the family and friends, and to all who are committing their time and efforts to finding Natalee."
He emphasised that the investigation is being conducted according to the rule of law. "The legal system of Aruba is identical to that of the Netherlands, which receives the highest marks from the United States Department of State. It differs from the US system but it is as effective." Several Aruban, Dutch and US agencies as well as a private firm from Texas hired by the missing teenager's family are carrying on the search.
"We are all working closely together. The Royal Netherlands Marines, the Joint Dutch Aruban Investigation Team, the Netherlands Forensic Institute, the Netherlands Coast Guard and Dutch legal experts are assisting the local authorities in Aruba together with US authorities, including the Department of State and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)," the statement said.
Some additional information has come in since my earlier update here.
When I suggested that EquuSearch may have indicated to the family that there could be a develpment soon, that was correct. Though speculative at best, they apparently have managed to identify what appear to be container(s) on the bottom which require a closer look as one could be used to dispose of a body. None of the information I've learned would lead me to get overly optimisitc. Nothing can be known until these containers can be inspected more closely. Rough waters may have hindered that operation today.
Also, and this is part opinion based upon reliable feedback - but there should be at least some concern that there is more PR being done by the Dutch and Aruban authorities to support the search for Natalee Holloway, than effective action on the ground.
Along with being unclear what role the F-16's can really play given where the search rests today, the promise of the Dutch Marines being involved have proven to be little more than talk at this point. My last information suggests that when they were contacted by individuals close to the search, it was relayed that they were busy on "maneuvers" and would get to it, eventually. To the best of my knowledge, no time frame was suggested for when that might be.

It's been a frustrating day all around here - worse on the island, I'm sure. I forgot to mention one item in my ealier update.
Individual's observing the residence of Paul(us) and Anita Van der Sloot reported seeing no sign of activity yesterday. The metal front gate was locked. It is believed they are no longer staying in the home.
When the elder Van der Sloot was released it was "requested" that he not leave the island; however, his passport was not held. The most likely scenario is that they are simply staying elsewhere, perhaps due to vandalism first reported here.
I like the thermostat deal for guests. But putting them on a vegetarian diet with no desserts really works for the plump ones with sweet teeth which describes most of the family we have.
I find telling them we all exercise at early morning does sometimes send them to hotels.
And making bad coffee, while a cardinal sin in Louisiana, is something I hold out for people I truly hate.
Short supllies of toilet paper also work for the shy ones, unable to ask for more. Just kidding. Even I am not that inhospitable.
Make DECAF coffee for your guests. My Mother In Law used to make that for us when we visited. Took me a few visits to figure out WHY I was getting an Exedrin Headache every day. I found the coffee can and when I read DECAF, I hit the ceiling.
We'd go out for coffee after that, since dear MIL was a witch and wouldn't change her ways. AND she never had any diet soda for me either. Hope that helps :)

Fuhrman makes some good points. Within the lies and deceptions are shreds of the truth.
I believe the writer of this article should know this. I Natalee were a black girl or boy. Aruba would see the full force of some rage ie; Jesse, Al, CBC, NAACP and many other civil rights organizations.
The island of Aruba would be in fear, and PVDS would be too, scared to go outside his house, due to being surrounded by supporters demanding justice/answers. Aruba would have to actually call in their Dutch Marines in an attempt to qwell a mounting riot which could turn very ugly at any moment.
The Dutch officials would be jumping out of their asses trying to get this case solved and the perps brought to immediate justice.
Aruba!!! be thankful this is not a black boy or girl from America. The festivities would not be going on and fear would be in the way for your corrupt island dung hole."No Justice No Peace."
The writer is attempting to interject the difference of how America would respond based on his racist analogy of class/racial worth in America.
I believe to many Americans,race has no bearing in this case. They view this as an (American Thing) The Arubans politicos/authorities will never understand!!
If it were up to me I would ban all travel of Americans to Aruba, quarantine the island and shut them down totally. The truth and justice is what we seek and we would obtain it be any means necessary. Possibly, I believe the scenario I described above(jesse&crowd) would be best for this Island of Crime/Death and Sin. Jesse and the in-crowd would enjoy a little trip to Aruba to set things right.
