Event Will 'Emancipate' Abe Lincon From the Closet
Cybercast News Service ^ | 4/12/05 | Susan Jones

A homosexual advocacy group is planning to hold a discussion on 'gay icons' in US history'--including President Abe Lincoln--at part of its national celebration at Philadelphia's Independence Hall later this spring.

Equality Forum is organizing a 'national celebration' to mark the 40th anniversary of the 'gay civil rights movement' which it says began with a small demonstration at Independence Hall years before the Stonewall riots in New York City.

The panelists include a 'recognized expert' on Eleanor Roosevelt, and the editor of CA Tripp's new book 'The Initmate Life of Abraham Lincoln' in a panel discusson of 'closeted public leaders.'

'Governor McGreavey showed mainsream Americans that homophobia has kept those who seek elected office in the closet,' said Malcom Lazin, executive director of Equality Forum.

'These public officials include Abraham Lincoln, who saved the nation, emancipated the slaves and founded the modern Republican Party.

Lazin said he has read 'The Intimate Life of Abraham Linclon'. 'As a gay man and an amateur historian, I find the evidence indisputable that the 16th President of the United States, Abe Lincoln, was a gay man.

'Anyone not blinded by homophobia will recognize that the president who preserved our republic was gay. It is time that US historical figures be emancipated from the closet.'

Your bad manners are exceeded only by your preening ignorance.

You've evidently stolen a projector again, Mr. Cad. I have simply pointed out by your own admission through your posting handle that you are a poorly mannered, ill bred individual. If you don't like that, change your handle and your attitude.

It is considered a form of basic courtesy to *ping a poster about whom you are carrying on a discussion with others. But that's par for the course...

That is a courtesy I only afford to people deserving of the effort. As you are a poorly manners and ill-bred individual by your own admission AND demonstrated actions on other threads, I do not deem it necessary to expend my time accomodating you with that courtesy.

I'm just sitting back and having a laugh as two divergent groups of liberals and statists - the homos and, well, people like you - duke it out over who gets to claim Saint Abe as their idol!

You may want to consult your buddy Wlat on this though. Last I heard, he was holed up in a stable waiting for Abe to come "emancipate" him, which would suggest his affiliation with both sides of the fence in this little squabble.

Ha, ha...Okie-Dokie. You freely admit your boorish behavior, and then indulge in some more of it. It doesn't get much easier than that.

"Governor McGre[e]vey showed mainsream Americans that homophobia has kept those who seek elected office in the closet," said Malcom Lazin, executive director of Equality Forum.

Wrong. For reasons that escape me, NJ elected this guy knowing damn well he was very, very thilly. Only when facing possible major charges did McGreevey show mainstream Americans that a corrupt criminal governor can slip away unscathed by holding up his holy homosexual shield for the fawning New York Times, the Star-Ledger, and the national media. In other words, If you're gay, it's okay. "I am a gay American," he said, announcing resignation at a later unspecified date, allowing 'Rat Codey to take the helm.

Who the hell cares, McGreedy? Like most 'Rat politicians in NJ, the most corrupt state of the Union, you're a criminal fraud.

This bastard should be in jail.

And it's high time "gay activists", thinking the whole world revolves around their obsessive-compulsive disorder and knowing nothing about history, law and government, STFU and grow up.

Old Abe preserved the political union of the states but with his pushing through unconstitutional railroad subsidies, high protective tariffs, centralized banking, internal improvements, the first federal income tax, blockading southern ports without the consent of Congress, his unconstitutional suspension of habeas corpus, imprisoning the entire Maryland state legislature at Fort McHenry, censoring all telegraph communications, shutting down of dozens of Northern newspapers, imprisoning thousands of Northern political opponents, forced deportation of Ohio congressman Vallandigham, leading a military that engaged in "total war" on the southern states (shelling and burning entire cities and ravaging the entire Shenendoah Valley)...its hard to claim that he actually preserved the Republic...destroyed it is more like it

Can't really add anything to that. Well said.

As for whether he was homosexual or not, I don't really care. The whole scandal gets in the way of just how bad this man was for this nation of states. Of course, that's what some want

Funny thing is, irontank made no mention of the South nor the Confederacy. AJC: you made some bad assumptions about irontank.

You're going to tell us what FR needs? Please. Questioning government policies used to be the cornerstone of FR - according to you we should abondon close scrutiny of our elected officials. You buy the legend lock stock and barrel. You cling to the fables of your storied politicians and give them a free pass.....just because "that's the way it's always been."

I also noticed you did not refute any of irontank's claims, but attacked his tagline. That's no way to debate. Fireaway AJC.

But that pointy-headed mask will slip just a little too far one day, I have no doubt, and "GOPcapitalist" will earn the ZOT he so richly deserves.

Are you calling GOPCap out? That's pretty bold AJC. We've banned folks for posting stuff like this in the past.

Thanks. Making allegations of KKK affiliation is libelous and way over the line for FR. This cad fellow is an odd one and seems to be very prone to such disreputable behavior, much as his name suggests.

Prior to this thread I'd seen him before on maybe 2 or 3 ACW threads where he made similar obnoxious and vitriolic slanders all over the place. We exchanged a few terse words on them but never any extended exchanges that lasted more than a day or two and perhaps a half dozen posts. Then I didn't see him again for the better part of a year.

That all changed about 2 weeks ago when I was posting deep within one of those couple-hundred post Terri Schaivo threads about the Terri Schaivo case. Out of the blue, this ill-bred cad creature popped up out of nowhere at what had to be post 370-something and started berating me with bilge-filled personal flames over the Civil War! I had not done a thing to call his attention there, provoke him into posting, or even introduce a WBTS topic on the Terri Schaivo thread and yet there he was like a crazed loon, trying to start a flame war. He went on for a couple posts until one of the mods or something intervened and told him to go away. Then sure enough, he's here on this thread littering the place with venom and libelous KKK allegations and pinging his apparent buddies who also litter wherever they go with venom and libelous KKK allegations of the same order. Needless to say, I've become very doubtful about the health of Mr. Cad's mind (perhaps insanity is a side effect of the ill-breeding that he admits to being the product of by his chosen name). He's very close to treading into #3territory and should be treated accordingly.

Jeeze...still having problems keeping your ever-multiplying string of lies straight, eh? I'm always happy to help out a lost soul floundering around in a deceptive maze of his own making:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1373557/posts?page=305#305

This was the mod's post to me. It offered no commentary on the correctness of my post (which was and remains manifest); it simply requested, in a gentle and quite humorous manner, that I refrain from igniting a Civil War flamefest in that thread.

I immediately complied, and made but ONE other post in that thread, here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1373557/posts?page=320#320

Which, of course, puts paid to another one of your seemingly ubiquitous lies (i.e.: "He went on for a couple posts until one of the mods or something intervened and told him to go away").

You conveniently left out this, of course:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1373557/posts?page=308#308

Your very own moderator warning; curious how you left that detail out. But not really, actually...*snicker*...

But all of this is, as they say, academic. Yet another dreary sideshow that bespeaks of the twisted deceptions, rank innuendo's, and smarmy logic you indulge in with nearly every keystroke you type here at FR.

You're not fooling anyone, for the record, save perhaps the scummy company you keep in the Civil War threads, where the order of the day from the Lost Cause Squad is to dribble, slobber, and moan over the triumph of the United States of America--a country the vast majority of genuine FReepers deeply love and are congenitally loyal to, incidentally--against the organized attempt to destroy it circa 1861-65.

Go ahead, wander off topic, post some more distortions and/or outright lies. Let's have some more fun. The further you go, the more bilge you crank out, the surer the case becomes in the eyes of decent people everywhere on this forum that the pointy hat shoe fits...and how intellectually bankrupt & rancid seems to be the head foot that wears it...

That's a quite curious relationship you have there with Cap'n Cruch, cad, to the degree that you'd immediately initiate a pinging fest to him out of every other poster on the forum. Of course, being two badly mannered and ill-bred individuals, y'all are well suited. By the company you keep...

It's also odd that for all your backtracking, you conveniently neglected to provide the post of your original unprovoked offense...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1373557/posts?page=246#246

FYI sinkspur, "GOPcapitalist" is neither.

For starters, he spends the vast majority of his time around here reviling and desecrating the memory of the first "GOP" president. Mention Abraham Lincoln, and watch him howl in rage and sputter semi-coherent gibberish that all boils down to this, at the end of the day: He despises the Union that was preserved by the resolute actions of the first "GOP" president, period.

"capitalist"? Hardly--the economy of the side he fervently wishes had "won" the Civil War was based upon slave labor, and had geared itself towards annexing whole new territories of the Western Hemisphere with the specific goal of advancing that slavocracy wherever possible. Capitalism is based upon the exact opposite notion, of course: free labor, free markets, and free men & women. Circa 1861-65, "GOPcapitalist" has little use for any of that. But don't take my word for it: just check out his posts...

He also routinely engages in the kind of semi-slur so cherished as a "debate" tactic by the Hardcore Left: he excels in the type of personal, unsubstantiated insults that hinge on slurring a person personally, though he offers no proof, no documentation, no hint of a verifiable whisper, or otherwise concrete means to ascertain his smarmy innuendos. In short, he makes crap up, and is the textbook description of a pathological liar poseur in this forum.

A troll of some sort, he no doubt is. A "GOPcapitalist" he most certainly is not.

...and that on a Terri Schiavo thread

Homosexual Agenda Ping...

Oh no, not this **** again. Following carefully one of the tenets of the radical "gay" plan to Overhaul Straight America, long dead historical figures are claimed to be homosexual.

Of course, there's nothing the long dead etcs can do to defend themselves.

This is has been debunked on a number of FR threads. If no one posts any links, I'll try tomorrow.

Must...crawl...to....bed....

Let DirtyHarryY2K and me know if you want on/off this pinglist.
