a kitty question:
anyone here ever had or heard of a cat who sheds honest-to-Mod tears of pleasure at being picked up and pet by her owner (staff) when he returns home from work?

Mollie seems to do this, and it puzzles me.

My kitty runs to the door to meet me when I start turning the key, and loves to be picked up, but I can't see I've ever seen her shed tears of happiness at being loved.

It must be your animal magnetism, King.

Never heard of such a thing. But our kitty ran to the door when my husband came home. Hes knew,KNEW,when my husband got into the elevator and always beat out our baby daughter, running to "greet daddy".

My daughter's cat runs to the door to greet her and her husband, when they come home from work.

Your kitty may have an eye disease.

I've never seen a cat cry, and I have had many cats before.

No, none of my kitties do that. They do meow incessantly and beg to be fed, though.

Sis' cat does that.
He also drools like a simpering moron when she scritches his chin or ears.

Boo doesn't shed tears, but she does drool.
