Big time fist throwing. Fans, players and more. Any thoughts ?
Skywalk...they don't sell glass bottles in any pro sports venue and haven't for years, specifically to avoid this issue. If the Pistons sell glass bottles, I would be stunned.
If you buy a beer or soda at "Lambert Field" for a Packer game, the vendor must by rule, open the bottle and take the cap away from you, so you are not able to launch a plastic bottle full of beverage at a player.
I'm not condoning what the fans did. But again, all the actions of Wallace took place ON THE COURT. And for that Wallace should get a hefty fine and suspension.
I can guarantee you though, if I am at that game, and the Pacer players jump into the stands and start punching, I will defend myself, as many Pistons fans did.
Skywalk...are you a Pacers fan?
You missed a great game between Phoenix and LA Lakers tonight. Great offense, great individual and team plays and defensive blocks and stops.
The NBA still has some great play and it's BETTER than the 70s in terms of who makes up the league.
This really has nothing to do with the league, as you may recall the Raiders going into the MIle High stands when fans threw ice balls and batteries at the Raiders.
LOL...Lights out time!
Not saying the fans that came on the court don't deserve to get whupped, but the whole thing escalated from actions ON the court, turning into mob mentality. Giving those that initiated the physical confrontations on the court a pass is bogus.
Cannot not imagine why anyone would throw away a ten dollar beer anyway.
he grabs the guy who threw it and tries to hit him. I don't know if he connected.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not the guy who threw the plastic cup at Artest- he got the wrong guy and assaulted the cr** out of him. ESPN said he got the wrong fan. But artest was nuts to assault the fan IN THE STANDS 10 rows in.....
Check right above your post, I said that you're right on the bottle being plastic(made to look like a regular bottle though, wow)
But that doesn't change the rest.
No, I'm not a Pacer fan. But you're obviously a Pistons fan because you refuse to put ANY responsibility on the chair throwers, beer throwers, bottle throwers, object throwers, punch throwers, etc.
ben wallace is nothing but trouble.
NBA- Nothing But Assholes
It's a good thing he found something that wasn't LETHAL, isn't it?
Great gif Politicket!
Howlin it was Horrrrribulllll!
I agree with you there! LOL
As for how it escalated, of COURSE, it escalated from what happened on the floor and the rivalry between the teams.
But that is THIS incident. Players have had racial epithets hurled at them, and as I stated the Denver fiasco that had Raiders in the stands looking for the people who threw ice balls and objects at the players.
One guy was hit in the eye and injured, I believe at a similar situation in Kansas City or Denver.
Especially after tomorrow when the Bucks win.
ESPN is ALL over this right now. (Unless it's a rerun.......LOL)
NBA action - it's FAN-tastic!
I was at Game 6 of the ALCS this year, when some Yankee "fans" started throwing stuff on the field after a disputed call. The Yankee management had the riot police line up on the sidelines, and the cops went around hauling people off in the stands for throwing stuff, and the stadium was calm after that. I sure didn't see anybody hauled off tonight for throwing stuff, and the fact that fans could walk right onto the court after all this was frightening.
One thing New York City does, which other cities should copy, is that fans who go onto the field, or the court, face immediate arrest, and real charges.
Artest Ben Wallace are the perpetrators
NOT the fans 10 rows in!
Everyone involved should spend 1 month in jail. Just watched the video again. Even the players.
LMAO. Ohhh man,lol.
