ELIZABETH EDWARDS ON ABC RADIO: "She's overreacted to this and treated it as if it's shameful to have this discussion. I think that's a very sad state of affairs… I think that it indicates a certain degree of shame with respect to her daughter's sexual preferences… It makes me really sad that that's Lynne's response."
LYNNE CHENEY AT POST-DEBATE RALLY: "The only thing I could conclude is that this is not a good man. This is not a good man. And, of course, I'm speaking as a mom. And a pretty indignant one. This is not a good man. What a cheap and tawdry political trick."
DICK CHENEY TO NBC AFFILIATE WHO: "I would have said Sen. Kerry was out of line to bring my daughter into it. I thought it was totally inappropriate."
WHAT KERRY SAID: "And I think if you were to talk to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian, she would tell you that she's being who she was, she's being who she was born as."
KERRY CAMPAIGN: Senior Kerry aide acknowledges "it was not his best moment," but calls charges that it was inappropriate "ridiculous… The woman is in her thirties. She's public about her sexuality. It was brought up in the last debate. So, what the hell?" ABC News' Marc Ambinder reports…
Im afraid these democrat folks are not qualified to speak of "shame". Mrs Edwards wouldnt know shame if it bit her on her....ahhh... butt.
I'm of the old school. I think there should be shame in homosexuality. Not necessarily a law against it (though that should be a decision for states' to make), but certainly public opinion can play a part in keeping the problem from infecting the entire culture. Liberals, on the other hand, want government to dictate public opinion on the issue.
Lets see here.

Now why would Freepers in their right minds want to get in the way by sinking to the level of the dems.
Soon we will have statements such as: Eliz is fat, her son was killed by her, the Bush girls drink, Laura was in a car accident that killed, Theresa is menopausal, and so on.
I say we all step back and click our tongues at the "hate speech" of Eliz and John and John. And not sink to their level.
What I find interesting is that Ms.Edwards feels "really sad" while subtly painting Mrs. Cheney as being out of touch with "progressive" views on sexuality; but, then use the same issue to "expose" Cheney's daughter to the mainstream electorate, all the while hoping the mainstream will be turned off to Bush/Cheney for having a homosexual in their midst.
The greater point that is being missed by the MSM is that Kerry is defining/classifying a person by their sexual preference.
When has defining a person by race, gender, class, and or sexual prefrence become okay?
Dick Cheney's daughter is foremostly a human being, that need not be held up and made subject of debate.
John Kerry is a jackass because it is painfully obivous that he does not consider these things when he speaks.
She's a lawyer,right?

Reason I asked, I had a heart attack 2 weeks ago with no chest pain, arm pain, or neck pain. I felt constantly drained and nauseated. I then started blacking out.

Yeah brought up by Edwards. Note to the Kerry (Cool) Aid two sequential inappropriate actions by Kerry/Edwards will not make the second one right. Using the Edwards misstep to justify Kerry's as appropriate is ridiculous.
no one seemed to care when Kerry Classified an entire audience economically at the last debate. Talk about a divided nation. Who's the RAT that's doing that, eh?

Does anyone realize that, on her deathbed, John Kerry's mother had three words for herson? INTEGRITY, INTEGRITY, INTEGRITY!!!
Why would a mother, in her dying moments, find it necessary to stress these last three words to the son she leaves behind?
Because, deep in her heart, the poor woman knew that the lack of integrity was her son's main character flaw!!! In those three words John Kerry's mother meant to impress upon her son the need to amend his ways (traitor to his Vietnam comrades, chaser of rich women, etc.)!!! Can anyone sense the anguish of that mother as she was about to depart this world??? She knew what her son was as she was about to die, and she wanted to make one last attempt at making him change!!!
