Well, now. I’m passing up the chance to watch the Monday night marathon of Stargate-SG1, but I appreciate that all of you nice people took your showers and you all smell very nice, with the possible exception of Asphalt, who seems to have a rather tarry odor.

I should perhaps take this opportunity to point out that each “cell” of the castle-wall rooms has a bathroom, computer kiosk, and communications equipment. This design was lifted entirely from my unpublished second book. As was the moat where you can swim. I did not write about dinosaurs in any of my books yet. Not yet. I am considering introducing some Dragons in a future novel. Dragons with a novel purpose, of course.

I liked the Stargate series initially, probably because I’m very into Science Fiction, and have been for a long time. What went wrong?

The problem with a Science Fiction series in which the protagonists discover wonderful new truths about the universe every week, is that they tend to accumulate an increasing weight of capabilities -- time travel, returning from the dead, surviving mortal wounds by miraculous technology, and so forth. This rapidly turns into a handicap, as they are no longer capable of being believably threatened.

Hopefully, I can avoid that peril in my writings. Now, if I can only get my mind out of a, um, rut.
