I like the freshly packed, new snow.
Especially when it collects in drifts.
Then again, it usually takes on that murky, grayish black color that resembles exhaust fumes after a few days.
That's just the way it is in my neck of the woods.

I like the new snow too. Everything looks so clean and sparkly. Luckily, we don't have too many exhaust fumes so the snow looks clean for a long time.

You're lucky.
It stays in its pristine, immaculate state for about ten or fifteen minutes over here, then turns sour.
I'll try to post some pictures of the amazing-some would say garrish-Christmas decorations in my neighborhood, if I get the chance.

People in Dyker Heights have this ongoing competition to see if they can outdo one other, in terms of creating the most ostentatious Christmas/New Year's display each year.
