I would like to see the State Attorney's records and see how many " Dr. Shopping" cases he has pursued or any cases involving prescription drugs. This is all payback politics and a waste of taxpayers money.

I believe the problem is that people like me just don't give a rats rear what Rush does. I didn't vote for him to lead me anywhere or to represent me in any political body. I listen to Rush to get the truth that I don't get from the newspapers and television news. I will continue to support him as long as he gives me what I need and does no harm to me or mine.

Gimme a break!
Hell, man! He was, or is addicted to pain killers and now you compare him to the lying, murderous, blackmailing, immoral Clintons.
Pain killers, like oxycontin are very easy, and almost impossible ,not to get addicted to. I take that as all Rush has done. Until, Rush says different, I am sure not going to condemn the man for that.

Using the time-untested 'principles' as espoused by libertarian materialist ideologues, one would say that the only reason Mr. Graham is being critical of Rush is because he envies his ratings, and has some selfish self-interest in tearing down Rush, such as trying to replace him in the ratings and thereby command a higher advertising sales revenue.
To: suspects
Pfft. I was pointing out the hypocrisy of his position the moment he decided going for a lawyer was better for him than getting out the truth.

Which means, my fellow conservatives, that Rush Limbaugh is....? A drug addict, a recovering drug addict, which he now admits publicly.
I'm sorry, I can't seem to hear you. It must be that deafening silence again.
No, it's your closed ears.

How about this?
I've been a conservative ever since I learned to think in my late 20s.
I am also a widowed mother of 4 sons. Raising 4 boys alone the last 6 years in this country full of drug and alcohol and party attitude temptations is no picnic. Drug use and abuse is a major struggle within my family, and a battle I fight with my kids daily.
I am not about to condemn Rush for falling into a trap, especially since I know he tried to get out a few times on his own. I am not going to point fingers at anyone. My own house is not in order.
Do you think conservatives are immune to trouble? Immune to pain and heartache and cultural pressures to steal our kids and mates?
I just sent my own 13 yr old out of the house a few hours ago, and told him to stay out. Tough love on Christmas Eve.
Real fun.
I really want to blast away at Rush right now, don't I?
No thanks.

get out of the way and let us rush fans enjoy the show.

Your Silence about Rush is Deafening Yes I AGREE,
Most Conservatives are not being vocal enough in SUPPORT of Rush, IMO.

It is so obvious that Rush's persecutors have not any credible evidence of wrong doing but surely must be leaking like a sieve in speculation and innuendo in order to build a trap for Rush to fall into.

The LLL's obsession with Rush Limbaugh is a projection of their own value system: the Left is completely media-driven and media-oriented. Lefty conformists will assume that the opposition is similar, and the doings of a mere media personality become a major issue. The whole business is another example of the increasingly blurred boundaries among politics, entertainment, and serious discourse.
Entertainers obviously have great political significance to the Left-wing. The reverse is also true. Consider, for example, that media coverage of the LLL's royal family, the Kennedy clan, is normally associated with "entertainment news" even though none of the Kennedys are entertainers in any formal sense of the word.

I have always believed as a conservative that someone is innocent until proven guilty. Sounds like Mr Graham has forgotten this basic idea of our country when it comes to Rush Limbaugh.
Seems like this person has forgotten his basic conservative beliefs.
To: suspects
Limbaugh isn't a public official. There is no petition to recall him and have a special election. He hasn't stolen from the public trough. He hasn't raped anyone or sold our secrets to the ChiComs. He didn't murder his pregnant wife. If you don't like him, no one forces you to listen to his show or buy his sponsors' products.
The justice system is going to deal with him.

Rush didn't do conservatives any favors in this episode , but... it does point out some things I felt about the Clintons. When you do things you don't want to be public knowlege, you set yourself up for blackmail. In the case of Clinton it was a matter of national security. In the case of Rush it was a matter of personal embarassment. A huge difference. I also wouldn't buy a Clinton arguement of being addicted to BJ's from young chubby interns as even a lame excuse. Rush could have done a much better job of dealing with both his pain and the addiction it apparently caused. Even with the legal wranglings going on he has been more up front than our ex POTUS about the problem. If it had been the average person in either of the cases , it wouldn't be anything for law enforcement to even look into.
