  • Should Trump & Cruz be taking sides in Senate primaries? [vanity]

    04/27/2016 2:02:28 AM PDT · by ObamahatesPACoal · 7 replies
Up to this point I think it may have been problematic if you had states where Trump & Cruz were 40/40. So linking yourself to a national campaign may have had alienated all the cruzers or Trumpsters. Like Stutzman or Todd Young (Indiana) could hitch themselves to one campaign. Why doesn't Trump and Cruz both endorse Stutzman?
  • I voted for Cruz

I voted for Cruz in the NY primary because I thought he was the most conservative candidate. But it's over. Trump is the nominee. Any contested convention with the number of delegates Trump will have will guarantee defeat in November. I will not sit at home either and let the Clintons back into the White House without a fight. I may not have voted for Trump (yet) but he is what I have to work with to defeat the Clintons and save the Supreme Court and that's what I plan on doing starting tomorrow morning. I'm all in, and that's...
  • Trump Wins Tonight Were YUGE! (PA, CT, RI, MD and DE were CLOSED Primaries)

    04/26/2016 6:25:10 PM PDT · by SamAdams76 · 115 replies
It appears that Trump is on track to achieve around 60 per cent of the vote in all five primary states tonight. He will almost certainly be well over 50% in all of them. With two other "contenders" in the race, that is quite an achievement. But these wins were UNDERSTATED. Remember a couple months ago when many were saying that Trump only did well in OPEN primaries, when Independents and Democrats were allowed to vote? Well all five primaries tonight were CLOSED to Republicans only! Democrats were not allowed to vote in any of them. Rhode Island did allow...

Why are we seeing so much hatred this time around in regard to our potential candidates? I don't care for Trump and certainly would have trouble voting for him, but you would not catch me saying the sort of things about him or his supporters that we usually reserve for those trying to rend the country in two and destroy what is left of our liberties. The things I see said about Cruz and those who support him serve no good purpose, and yes similar things are said about Trump and his supporters, but not to nearly the same extent....

Donald Trump will not reach 1237 delegates before the GOP July Cleveland Convention and there will be a floor fight for the Nomination. For the purposes of this analysis, both Sen. Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are peripheral characters. Both will continue to pursue their best strategy to the nomination, Trump on first ballot, Cruz on 2nd or 3rd (most likely 4th after Florida delegates are released). There will be a contested convention because the media will push for it. 1. Blood in the streets in Cleveland? Damn, that's a generational story. Somebody's gonna win a Pulitzer here. 2. Permanent...
  • FR Management should ban posts from Breitbart

    04/24/2016 2:58:24 AM PDT · by markomalley · 240 replies
I've started to see Breitbart host more and more pro-Cruz propaganda items on their sites. If they're going to continue posting anti-Trump lies and deception, they should go the way of "Right Scoop" and not be allowed to be posted on this site. For example, this morning I come across a scurrilous piece by Dr Susan Berry, Donald Trump Foundation Donated $20K to Public School LGBT Activist Group GLSEN. Not saying that it's true, but even if it was, since when would Donald Trump have day-to-day management control on each and every donation made. Besides, it was 4 years ago....

The Left is racist against whites simply because whites allow it and a certain percentage of blacks and other non-whites are perfectly happy to practice anti-white racism. I see more and more examples of Anti-white racism. For instance, it's OK to replace a white character or even a white historical figure with a white actor in a film and it's completely acceptable. The reverse however, is completely unacceptable and racist. We give blacks and hispanics extra points on admission tests but none for whites. We don't have any laws protecting whites from minorities in power. Recently, I have seen where...

Exactly 400 years ago on this day, William Shakespeare passed this mortal coil. His effect on the English language was YUUUUUGE. Therefore I am asking for general observations on The Bard. p.s. PLEASE DON'T post conspiracy theories about how the true author of the Shakespeare plays was really somebody else. That stuff is old AND annoying. It was SHAKESPEARE who wrote it.
  • Has Trump ever insulted ordinary Cruz supporters?[vanity]

    04/22/2016 7:38:26 PM PDT · by ObamahatesPACoal · 113 replies
Cruz has said insulting things to Trump supporters. I can't remember Trump attacking the average Cruz supporter. I think Trump exaggerates and claim they are switching to him. When Trump says "he holds The Bible high", he is implying the Cruz supporters of 2014 & 2015 are switching to Trump. A lot of these southern voters were originally Cruz supporters in May 2015.

Cancelled DishTV today. I have "cut the cord" on and off for many years, and it's time again. I was paying $60/month on a discount plan and it went up to $120 for the same programming. I'm just not getting that kind of benefit from the cable channels. On a personal level, I don't see the value. A recent article found that more than 1,000,000 [US] consumers cancelled paid TV subscriptions in 2015, according to SNL Kagan, a division of S&P Global Market Intelligence. Last year's decline was four times greater than the losses of 2014, and it represents the...

Do you want to know what Donald Trump is really like? Back in Febuary of 2016 there was a Repuplican debate. The moderator was calling out the candidates' names at the start of the debate. When Ben Carson's name was called, he didn't hear it. So he just stood there in the wings. Cruz, Christie, and Bush, they all just walked passed Carson. But Trump understood what had happened, and he stood there right by Carson. That is the mark of a man!

Here's what Trump said: “Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they’re going through with all the business that’s leaving, all of the strife — and this is on both sides. Leave it the way it is.” He continued, “There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic — I mean, the economic punishment that they’re taking.” (1) Where exactly, did Trump stand up for the rights of male perverts and trannies to take a whiz or go #2 alongside with or do worse things to...

An Open Letter to Ted Cruz Senator Cruz, April 20, 2016 I wanted to write this letter to you in the hopes that you will get it and be able to read it. I have been, and am, a supporter and admirer of yours. You have been a staunch supporter of the constitution, conservative values, and stood (many times alone) against a GOP Establishment that has not kept faith with the conservative base of the party who electe them. I have supported you from afar as you won offices in TExas, including your stinning victory for the US SEnate. I...

I'd like to thank Jeff Head for his well written piece on a vexing situation we find ourselves in. I am a Cruz supporter, and I understand that Trump is likely to win the nomination. If he does, I will vote for him and hope that he is a better president than I expect him to be. But the fact remains that outside of Trump's home region, the northeast, 50+ % are inclined NOT to vote for him. Cruz in some ways is the last man standing, because he anticipated this kind of struggle and prepared for it in the...

Ted Cruz & the Republican Establishment had a super bad night in New York, last evening. As I correctly predicted, the Cruz anti-New York remarks did him in , and, DJT slaughtered Ted Cruz politically....across the board. The same repeat act will take place next Tuesday in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware % Pensylvania. As for John Kasich...dream on, Johnny Boy, you is going nowhere, fast. Go Donald J. Utah was a caucus where Cruz only got 120,000 votes, (Trump's minimum margin of victory in most traditional diverse states like Michigan or Arizona or Nevada).
