Oh, wait....wrong Turkey. https://youtu.be/Wf0I1h1w3UUNothing quite like seeing a lame duck president pardoning the national turkey (can you tell which one's which?). Actually, I think our comedian-in-chief is pretty good in this role. Nor did I mind his jab at GOP presidential candidates (I think some of them are turkeys). It was done in lighthearted jest. No harm, no foul, however fowl. While I am sympathetic to the plight of Syrian refugees and consider some of the rhetoric against allowing these refugees into the States to be tinged with hysteria, exaggerations, xenophobia, and Islamophobia, I also find legitimate concerns as well....

...The prime source of money feeding ISIS these days is sale of Iraqi oil from the Mosul region oilfields where they maintain a stronghold. The son of Erdogan it seems is the man who makes the export sales of ISIS-controlled oil possible. Bilal Erdogan owns several maritime companies. He has allegedly signed contracts with European operating companies to carry Iraqi stolen oil to different Asian countries. The Turkish government buys Iraqi plundered oil which is being produced from the Iraqi seized oil wells. Bilal Erdogans maritime companies own special wharfs in Beirut and Ceyhan ports that are transporting ISIS smuggled...

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has described as correct the offer of French President Francois Hollande to take steps to close the Syrian-Turkish border. He said as much while talking to reporters on Wednesday. "Going back to the news conference of Presidents of France and the United States Francois Hollande and Barack Obama in Washington, I noticed that the French president suggested taking steps to close the Turkish-Syrian border to stop both the flow of militants and terrorist financing," the Russian minister said. PETA and Hannibal are urging Americans to go vegetarian this Thanksgiving by comparing turkey to human flesh. It used to be the joke that a Puritan (aka Pilgrim) was someone who lay awake at night worrying that someone, somewhere, was having a good time. There aren't many Puritans around these days. Instead, we have the joyless scolds at PETA, and some of their not-so-bright Hollywood pals, trying to ruin the holiday the Pilgrims originated. Just in time for Thanksgiving, creator Bryan Fuller and star Gillian Anderson of NBC's cannibal-themed show Hannibal joined forces with PETA to produce an ad against...

You’ve carefully stuffed, cooked, and carved the turkey. You’ve sliced up all the extra pieces, packing them in tin foil for leftovers. And you may think you’ve used every possible aspect of that turkey. You’d be wrong. Before you toss that last bit, Michael Dukakis would very much like your turkey carcass. For decades, inside his tidy kitchen in Brookline, the state’s former governor and onetime Democratic presidential nominee has had a quirky but endearing tradition that is legendary among family and friends. The man is renowned for his thriftiness — he drinks coffee bought in bulk at Costco, at...

The conflicting stories over yesterday's dramatic downing of a Russian jet on the Syria-Turkish border continue to grow, and after the ongoing confusion whether the Russian pilot did or did not enter Turkish territory for a grand total of 17 seconds, moments ago Konstantin Murahtin, the co-pilot from the downed Russian jet who survived the ground fire by US-armed rebels unlike his pilot, and who was rescued by the Syrian army, said that contrary to official reports that Turkey had somehow warned the Russian jet "10 times" (in 17 seconds?) that it would fire, Turkey had in fact given no...
