SAUSALITO, Calif. (CNN/KRON) — A swanky California hotel is offering decadent, high-tech accommodation in the hopes of luring high-end guests. That includes a unique way of delivering room service, via a drone. You can see in the video that the drone is holding two bottles of champagne — on their way to guests. It’s a flying bell hop. “I think we’re going to set ourselves apart,” said hotel manager Sieste Nabben. Nabben is the general manager of Casa Madrona, the hotel and spa that is offering the drone delivery service. They are located in Downtown Sausalito, right off the water....

From a Southwest flight attendant on a San Francisco to Chicago trip. Includes a great mocking of the absurd FAA rule that requires flight attendants to teach passengers how to use seat belts.

I’ve often made the point that every advance of the homosexual agenda comes at the expense of religious liberty. We as a society must choose between homosexuality and liberty because we cannot have both. Where homosexuality advances, liberty retreats. For example, I have already written about the cop in Utah who essentially has been fired because he did not want to literally lead a gay pride parade. His reservations about homosexuality are religious in nature, but regardless of the Constitution’s guarantee of the “free exercise” of religion, he was forced to choose between homosexual pride and his own conscience. He...

Join Arizona Geological Survey geologist Steve Rauzi and a team of Conoco geoscientists as they raft through Grand Canyon examining the Precambrian Chuar Group. The trip, which occurred in 1996, begins at Lees Ferry and ends at river-mile 225. The expedition resulted in two publications by the Arizona Geological Survey: OFR-98-17

Drivers traveling into or through Baltimore on Interstate 95 are going to encounter a construction project that will replace the highway’s concrete deck along the 4.4 miles between the Fort McHenry Tunnel and Exit 50 at Caton Avenue. Nothing like this has happened since the tunnel opened in 1985. If your summer vacation drives take you through Baltimore, if you plan to see the Orioles or Ravens, or will be visiting the Inner Harbor, Fells Point or Fort McHenry, you will want to be aware of this work, which is scheduled to end in 2016. The Maryland Transportation Authority project...

One hundred and ten of Greece’s best beaches are on sale by Greece’s privatization agency, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) in the name of supposed “development” and “utilization of public assets”. In fact a sale off of Greece best beaches for cash so that the debt-ridden country can pay back its lenders. The beaches plots are to be on sale with “50 years of utilization by the new owners.” In the list of TAIPED are featured among others Myrto Beach in Kato Achaia, Vasiliki Beach in Lefkada, Kalmitsi beach in Chalkidiki and – what a shame – two...

Memorial Day weekend drivers will continue to take a hit as gasoline prices remain high. May 20 marks the 1,245th straight day that the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline costs more than $3 a gallon, according to AAA data. That’s nearly three-and-a-half years above $3 a gallon.

Infrastructure is in the news as policymakers face a deadline to pass a new highway bill. President Obama visited the Tappan Zee Bridge yesterday and said that “rebuilding America … shouldn’t be a partisan issue,” and then cast blame on the Republicans. The president is right that America ought to have better infrastructure. But the leaders of both parties are overlooking the most straightforward and powerful way to do it: slashing taxes on business investment. Most of America’s infrastructure is provided by the private sector, not governments. In fact, private infrastructure spending—on factories, freight rail, cell phone towers, pipelines, refineries, and many...

Apparently they seek to lower the cost of dominating our markets while keeping a tight leash on a rudderless debtor and efficiently extracting benefits/wealth from Chinese properties (and powerful traitors) in the USA. Maybe you 2x Obama voters didn't expect hopenchange to include being sold into economic slavery, yet here we are... thanks, idiots! A Bering Strait tunnel and/or bridge has been actually been proposed at various times, going back to 1892, and most often by the Russians. Moscow says they are still currently planning a bridge project for $65B, yet experts doubt that their conventional rail approach -if ever actualized- would be able...

Original Title:American Supersonic Airliners: Race for a Dream Boeing-2707 SST: a Supersonic Marvel, Largely Forgotten Today Capable of transporting 296 passengers across the ocean at 2900 km/h, developed 40 years ago, in 1968... The Sixties (or for that matter, the Fifties) were truly amazing years when it comes to development of fascinating - and often futuristic - technology. The automotive industry, for example, entertained public imagination with powerful full-size cars, a true embodiment of the "American dream" and sheer optimism of the times. In space exploration, we reached all the way to the Moon; in air travel, the dream of...

Alabama SB 354 passed the senate on Wednesday by the wide margin of 20 - 7. The bill includes vehicles as an extension of the home for purposes of carrying firearms, recognizing the right to bear arms extends to a person's vehicle, where a great deal of time is spent in modern society. This is especially helpful to the growing number of people who live in recreational vehicles and travel about the country. The bill makes clear that open carry of firearms is not disorderly conduct. In the section dealing with definitions of disorderly conduct, the bill reads: "The...

With Obama sparring with Vladimir Putin over the recent annexation of Crimea, his administration is playing big footsie with Russia now that NASA is paying a whopping $424 million to get Obama-grounded astronauts back into space.

A lot of speculation about MH370. Terrorism, hijack, meteors. I cannot believe the analysis on CNN - almost disturbing. I tend to look for a more simple explanation of this event. Loaded 777 departs midnight from Kuala to Beijing. Hot night. Heavy aircraft. About an hour out across the gulf towards Vietnam the plane goes dark meaning the transponder goes off and secondary radar tracking goes off. Two days later we hear of reports that Malaysian military radar (which is a primary radar meaning the plane is being tracked by reflection rather than by transponder interrogation response) has tracked the...

“When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.” ~ Hunter S. Thompson On this final, frenetic afternoon of the 3 day binge-orgy of conservative politics (an oxymoron if there ever was one) that is the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, there I was, poverty-stricken cheapskate that I am, trying to figure out whether I’d have to try sneak in to the main event hall, or cough up just enough clams for access to the last day’s central attractions/speakers. Then I happened into the revelation that my status as a Clash columnist gets me a media access badge. Eureka. So...

Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif) wants the EPA to take a closer look at the proposal to build the Keystone Pipeline. The pipeline would replace rail transport of oil from Canada and is considered a generally safer means of getting the flammable commodity to its destination. Boxer sought to clarify her opposition to the pipeline, saying that “I’m not stupid. I know that trains sometimes get derailed and that in terms of the safety of transporting oil a pipeline would be less dangerous. The point I am trying to make is that a cheaper and safer mode of shipping will mean...

One of my biggest pet peeves on the road is the left-lane highway cruiser. If you’re a compulsive reader of my articles (Why would you do that to yourself?), you may remember that I have written on this very issue before.I don’t care how fast you are going. The leftmost lane on the highway is for passing. That is basic road etiquette, but, not surprisingly, few people here in Georgia follow it. And it is frustrating.Well the Georgia State legislature is here to save the day. They are currently enacting a bill (dubbed the Slowpoke Bill) that would make lollygagging...

A 41-year-old Florida man, who arrived in the country illegally in 1998, says he will ride a bike to Washington, D.C., to raise awareness about immigration reform. Francisco Diaz, an out-of-work carpenter who lives in Homestead, says he wants to give a pen to President Obama to sign an executive order stopping deportations, and then urge Congress to pass legislation. "Despite being married to a US Citizen for 12 years, he has not been able to adjust his status," according to a release from Florida Immigrant Coalition. "Francisco's family was directly affected by the deportation of his brother-in-law. When he...

There are few things in life that progressive liberals love more than spending other people's money. When ensconced in government, they spend money for freely than a sailor in port who's been at sea for six months. Even when they're not in government, they look for ways to spend our hard-earned tax dollars by pushing ballot initiatives. One type of project in particular seems to excite liberals into a frenzy: high-speed rail. On the surface, you would think that progressive liberals and high-speed rail are an odd mix. You have to use fuel to run a train. You have to...
