[Truncated headline] This is the original: A Native American tribe will cover the costs of the funerals for all of the Alabama tornado victims (CNN)Often times the worst situations will bring out the best in people. That's proving true once again, this time in southeastern Alabama, where residents are still reeling from an outbreak of tornadoes that killed 23 people this week. But their loved ones won't have to worry, at least, about the costs of the funerals. A Native American tribe says it will cover the funeral and burial expenses for all the victims of Sunday's tornadoes. The Poarch...

"What a wonderful blessing this will be for the families who have lost loved ones!" the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook. "To these corporations we thank you! We're told these are national companies and officials are still working out the details. The names and ages of all 23 victims who died in what is said to be the...

The Tornado has launched hundreds of airstrikes on so-called Islamic State in the Middle East (Picture: MOD). Built more than 40 years ago to fight a nuclear war, the RAF's primary ground attack platform is due to be retired from service by March 2019. The Tornado can also conduct intelligence gathering missions and is armed with a variety of Paveway bombs, Brimstone air-to-air missiles and Storm Shadow cruise missiles. The aircraft also possesses an Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air Missile (ASRAAM) for defensive purposes. When deployed in an armed reconnaissance or close air support role, it would usually be armed with...

In a year that featured catastrophic hurricanes and historic wildfires, 2018 could close out as one of the quietest and least-deadly years for tornadoes in United States history. “2018 is running near the minimum in terms of number of tornadoes recorded in modern times,” said Dr. Patrick Marsh, a warning coordination meteorologist at NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center. As of Dec. 29, there have been 991 tornadoes across the United States in 2018. This is noticeably lower than the average of 1,287 and only slightly higher than the record low of 897 tornadoes, set in 2014. One reason behind the near-record...

FULL TITLE: WRONG AGAIN: Obama and Gore Said Global Warming Would Cause More Severe Tornadoes – 2018 Was First EVER with NO VIOLENT TORNADOES Remember this? Back in January 2013, Barack Obama blamed climate change/global warming for “raging fires, crippling drought and more powerful storms” during his second Inaugural speech. Peace award winner Al Gore supported his comments. But Obama and Gore were wrong again. According to the NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center the total number of tornadoes during 2012 was just 936 – a ten year low. And 2018 was the first year ever with no violent tornadoes in the...

Has anyone noticed that when watching The Weather Channel as of late, the meteorologists have come to the point of obsession about the near-absence of tornadic storms usually encountered in the United States, namely "Tornado Alley", at this time of year? It seems they're actually disappointed in not seeing this killer weather phenomenon as they would like and are doing what I call "cheerleading". Nearly every discussion and numerous videos of past and recently encountered tornadoes dominate 24 hrs a day. They're saying the reason for this is to keep people informed on how to stay safe during such storms,...
