Footage from a devastated neighborhood where at least three tornadoes touched down in and around Eastern New Orleans on Tuesday as severe thunderstorms destroyed homes and dropped ping pong ball-size hail, the National Weather Service said.

The National Weather Service reported that a radar-confirmed tornado has been reported in New Orleans East.

A "particularly dangerous situation" (PDS) tornado watch has been issued by NOAA's Storm Prediction Center (SPC) for parts eastern Arkansas, northwest Mississippi, northeast Louisiana and western Tennessee until 8 p.m. CST. Authorities say that one person was killed after at least two tornadoes touched down Saturday in northern Texas as forecasters upped the risk of sever storms for a large area of the state.
