Arlington police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old man in connection with the fatal church attack that left a pastor dead and his assistant severely injured. Records show that Steven Lawayne Nelson, 24, was booked into the Arlington city jail Saturday afternoon. He was charged with capital murder. Authorities initially believed that Nelson was in Dallas but then they got word that he was headed back to his apartment in Arlington where he lived with his mother. In a new book, President Barack Obama is quoted as having stated that race is a "key component" both in the Tea Party's rise and conservative opposition as a whole... But as soon as one might believe that the conversation is run of the mill, the President begins veering into different regions. For example, Walsh writes (emphasis mine): "In May 2010, he told guests at a private White House dinner that race was probably a key component in the rising opposition to his presidency from conservatives, especially right-wing activists in the anti-incumbent "Tea Party" movement that was then surging across...

I’ve mentioned before that I’m skeptical of Herman Cain, who expected to make his second presidential bid official any day now, in part because of his deference to government over the free market. For example, he backed TARP at the height of the financial crisis in 2008 - calling it a “recovery plan.” He slammed opponents of the program on the right, calling us “free market purists.” Now, Cain, a former board member of the Federal Reserve, is telling us that the central bank already has internal audits, that there isn’t anything new that we’d learn from a significant audit...

Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American. Holder's frustration over the criticism became evident during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing as Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) accused the Justice Department of failing to cooperate with a Civil Rights Commission investigation into the handling of the 2008 incident in which Black Panthers in intimidating outfits and wielding a club stood outside a polling place in Philadelphia. The Attorney General seemed to take personal offense...

“I'm sure the President knows that most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits while our plan allows it for base pay. And I'm sure the President knows that the average federal worker pays twice as much for health insurance as what we are asking for in Wisconsin. At least I would hope he knows these facts.

Take a one minute tour of today's Detroit from the safety of your home. Its not hard to believe that Michigan deserves to sing the blues because it is such a Blue State. Democrat Governors, Congressman, Senators, Mayors, Councilmen, and the UAW have been ignoring the problems since the 1960's. At least Dearbornistan has some semblance of law (quasi Sharia) and order, but like African-Americans who have carved out their own and separate culture, so are Moslems desiring to supercede American culture with their own, thus fracturing a broken state even more. Detroit Poverty 40% United States Violent Crime 430...

A controversial anti-abortion billboard in SoHo equating abortion among black women with genocide is coming down. The Rev. Al Sharpton says Lamar Outdoor advertising has agreed to yank the ad above Sixth Ave. and Watts St., which features a picture of a young black girl below the message, "The most dangerous place for African Americans is in the womb." "The billboard was offensive, especially during Black History Month, and I had intended to hold a press conference Friday in front of the billboard to protest the message of racial profiling and against a woman"s right to choose," Sharpton said Thursday.

"Those who make peaceful revolutions impossible make violent revolution inevitable," said Sams on Monday. The phrase was a direct quotation from former president John F. Kennedy, who made the original statement while talking about civil unrest in Central America back in 1962. Twenty-four hours later she kept the same tone. "No, I do not regret saying it, because I did not say we were going to use violent revolution," said Sams. "I don't feel like it's irresponsible. I think you can take a quote and twist it around anyway you want to. But we are not going to keep having...

So imagine you are America's most senior military official and you want the world to know you have been in regular contact with your Egyptian counterpart at a time of geopolitical crisis. Which news outlet would you choose to get the word out? In a signal of the Obama administration's apparent contempt for what Sarah Palin calls the 'lamestream media', last night the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen picked Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'. Can you imagine Chief of Defence Staff General Sir David Richards heading for Channel 4's 10 O'Clock Live...
