  • The Mahdist Connection?

A Cornerite e-mails: I wanted to call your attention to the fact that the dead Boston bomber’s website contained links to Muslim end-time (Madhist) websites discussing the prophecies about the “Black Banners of Khorosan”. Charles Cameron at the Zenpundit blog has been writing specifically about Madhism and end-time prophecies as a factor in terrorism for years now, and is a very informative source. See for example this post (http://zenpundit.com/?p=3205) or just go to Zenpundit.com and do a search on “Black Banners”. The fact that they are Madhists is probably more important than that they are Chechens.

I have never entertained the idea that Obama was a Muslim and always believed he was a socialist. But Obama's behavior over the last four years regarding Islam has convinced me that Obama has a Socialist/Islamic centered worldview -- a combination that is not uncommon in many parts of the Muslim world.

The Islamic Republic Is Not Iran By Amil Iman We just don't get it. The Left in America is screaming to high heaven that the mess we are in, in Iraq and the war on terrorism has been caused by the right-wing and that George W. Bush, the so-called "dim-witted cowboy," has created the entire mess. The truth is the entire nightmare can be traced back to the liberal democratic policies of the leftist Jimmy Carter, who created a firestorm that destabilized our greatest ally in the Muslim world, the shah of Iran, in favor of a religious fanatic, the...

President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will meet on Sunday in an unannounced meeting, The London Telegraph reported Sunday. There has been no confirmation or denial from Washington - but the Prime Minister’s spokesman Mark Regev told Arutz Sheva on Sunday that the newspaper’s report they will meet on Sunday is “incorrect.” Concerning a meeting in the near future, he issued a “no comment” response. The reported meeting is to take place as 25 countries deploy warplanes and warships...

Egypt denied on Tuesday evening the reports that President Mohammed Morsi had sent a letter to Israeli counterpart Shimon Peres. Dr. Yasser Ali, Morsi’s official spokesman, denied the reports which appeared in the Israeli press and which said that Morsi thanked the Israeli president for his Ramadan greetings and said he is looking forward to Egypt helping to get the peace process “back to its right track.” However, according to a report on the website of the Egyptian daily Al-Ahram, Ali described these reports as completely incorrect and stressed that Morsi did not send any letter to Peres. Another report...

(Written by me on 7-6-12) It finally hit me this morning. The United States will not have a Christian leader for at least four more years, regardless of our vote in November. I can say this with assuredness only after examining the testimony of our two remaining Presidential candidates, as follows. In a 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani, Barack Obama said, “I believe that there are many paths to the same place.” Obama also said, “All people of faith—Christians, Jews, Muslims, animists, everyone knows the same God.” Animism in the belief in the existence of individual spirits that inhabit natural...

Comic books as a method of missionizing for Islam (da'wa)?Yes. One year ago, Harvard University hosted a workshop to teach comic book artists how to address Americans' "unease with Islam and the Middle East." And later this week, Georgetown University will air a PBS documentary, Wham! Bam! Islam! celebrating a comic book called The 99. Wham! Bam! Islam! The 99 sounds innocuous. Adweek describes its topic as "a team of multinational superheroes [who] band together to fight the forces of evil." The American children's network Hub more fully explains that, "Created by noted Middle East scholar and clinical psychologist Dr....

Taqqiya, in Islam, is a doctrine of pious fraud or religious dissimulation... whereby Muslims may under certain circumstances openly deceive infidels by feigning friendship or goodwill provided their heart remains true to Islam.” As I am about to set to write the second article, the first thing that hits my mind is... “Little Red Riding Hood...” The sweet story of how a bad wolf disguised under innocent appearance, gets close to a naive little girl, Little Red Riding Hood, who tells him where she’s going, i.e., to visit grandma. The wolf gets to poor grandma first, eats her and disguises...

Iran, facing growing international pressure over its nuclear program, called for more talks with the U.N. nuclear watchdog on Tuesday and condemned production of atomic weapons as a "great sin." Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful but negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have stalled and Western powers have grown increasingly concerned over the possible military dimensions of Tehran's atomic work. Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, in a speech to the U.N.-sponsored Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, said he expected talks to continue and that he was optimistic they would proceed in the right direction. "I...

Some distressing news to bring to our readers. In Egypt, campaigning on the actual election day is illegal. That's not stopping the Muslim Brotherhood from campaigning anyway. The Brotherhood reportedly has an excellent get-out-the-vote effort, which may land it the most seats in Parliament. This could also give the Islamist fundamentalists with ties to Hamas control over 80 million people. One report already says that the Brotherhood's victory would be a massive boon for Hamas. A few more notes on the Muslim Brotherhood's impressive election day get-out-the-vote campaign: Shadi Hamid, the research director at the Brookings Institution in Doha, tweets...

Last Friday in my article “Obama, Alwaleed, and the Ambush of Israel, America and Western Civilization” published on these pages, my readers got some flavor of the complex cultural differences between “them” and us. This time we will dive in the world of “make believe” that in our society mostly belongs to our children, but in the Muslim world, it’s an adult deformation of wishful thinking. To make the picture whole, it is a “make believe” completely compatible and convenient to the agenda of corrupted politicians and businessmen in the West. Muslim society at large is good at giving the...

President Obama publicly attended church Sunday morning for the first time in nearly six months, and shortly after a major survey showed that only a third of Americans can correctly identify Obama's faith as Christian. The first family attended the 9 a.m. service at St. John's Church Lafayette Square, an Episcopal congregation about a block from the White House. The Obamas - the president, first lady Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha - made the trip on foot. The family sat a few rows from the altar, among roughly 40 worshippers. Each family member received communion, led by the president....

Members of the Congressional Muslim Staff Association (CMSA) hosted a panel discussion on Capitol Hill Tuesday to discuss the perception of Islam among Americans in the wake of the current debate over the proposed Park51 Islamic center and mosque project to be located just two blocks from Ground Zero in lower Manhattan. The primary point of agreement among all three panel participants was that those who oppose Muslim initiatives — such as the so-called “Ground Zero” mosque — are Islamaphobic and ignorant. A recent CBS poll revealed that 71% of Americans believe it is inappropriate to build a mosque so...

...Among the golden nuggets of evidence produced during the trial of the United States vs. The Holy Land Foundation et al is a document that should end any ambiguity concerning the true intent of Feisal ABDUL-RAUF in his quest to construct an Islamic center at Park Place. In fact, it should be cause to reexamine all Islamic centers and mosques that fall within a certain criteria. ... [L]ast week, Salahuddin Mustafa Muhammad found himself an accidental actor of sorts in the latest case of what the authorities call a homegrown terror plot, one in which four ex-convicts were accused of trying to blow up two Bronx synagogues and attack military aircraft. The plot, the authorities say, began when one of the men met a government informant at Mr. Muhammad’s mosque roughly a year ago. With at least two of the men appearing to be prison converts to Islam, the case has in certain circles evoked an old debate about the role prison might play as an...

The Death of Common Sense The Birth of The WHY Initiative Dean Haskins Exactly when did common sense die in this country? Obviously, it has been on life support for some time; but now that our collective national synapses have stopped firing, we aren’t even in an era of philosophical “gray.” What is presently being foisted upon us is the notion that black is white and white is black. And, don’t even think about reducing that statement to race. Political correctness is only political; there is nothing correct about it. Think about it. We’re being told that the way to...
