div class="article_body top mrf-hidden">Call me old-fashioned for enjoying unapologetic patriotism: honoring our troops, our flag, and our country. Leftists will call me a stupid black man suffering from Stockholm syndrome for loving my country. They've done it to others. But then there was rhythm and blues superstar Gladys Knight, the empress of soul, and her stellar performance of our national anthem at Super Bowl 2019. It brought tears to my eyes. I salute Ms. Knight for courageously rejecting pressure from leftists to boycott the event. She went one better than that because she gave it her all. The Los Angeles Rams, meanwhile, said they might skip visiting the White House if they were to win the Super...

RUSH: Man, that game was so boring last night, I betcha some people wish that some players had kneeled during the anthem and raised their fists. You don’t think so? You don’t think some people would have — I’m not saying I wish it would have happened, but I’m just saying I betcha there are some. Calling it a throwback game because it featured defense. That was not a throwback game. That was just — ah, folks, that was just a quarterback for the Rams not ready for the stage is what that was and maybe an offensive game plan,...

Vegans across the globe have tweeted their anger at the recent Hyundai Super Bowl advert that compared a vegan dinner party to root canal surgery, jury duty, being stuck in the middle seat on a plane and having 'the talk' with your teenage child.

The CBS broadcast game out of Atlanta was seen by a total audience of 100.7 million, according to CBS Sports. That number comes from when you add up everyone who watched on CBS the network, CBS Interactive, NFL digital properties, Verizon Media mobile properties, ESPN Deportes television and other digital properties. Besides being a very unique bundling spin on Super Bowl numbers that previous broadcasters haven’t shamelessly taken, that’s the first time the NFL’s big game on a network as fallen beneath 100 million viewers since 2009 when the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 in Super Bowl XLIII....

The 13-3 win for the New England Patriots over the Los Angeles Rams last night wasn’t the most exciting Super Bowl ever played by any measure, but the 2019 big NFL game was sure one for the history books. First of all, in the Patriots’ third consecutive visit to Super Bowl, the match-up in Atlanta on Sunday was the lowest scoring Super Bowl ever, a dubious honor at best. The record was previously held by Super Bowl VII, which saw the Miami Dolphins best the Washington Redskins 14-7 on January 14, 1973. Secondly, Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady is now the...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Can somebody tell me why I still watch these things? – The NFL almost pulled off what I had always assumed was the utterly impossible last night, staging a Super Bowl game that was very nearly as boring and tedious as a damn soccer match. Yes, yes, yes, I know – it was a “great defensive battle,” right? Spare me, please. It was a game in which LA Rams quarterback Jared Goff played worse than any Super Bowl QB since at least Billy Kilmer and really since Joe Kapp in Super Bowl...

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - About a dozen Georgians have accused a prominent Gwinnett County businessman of taking off with nearly $1 million in a months-long Super Bowl ticket and business scam. Records obtained by Channel 2 Action News early Thursday morning show the man’s own mother has accused him of theft tied to the scam, and his wife told Channel 2 investigative reporter Nicole Carr she hasn’t seen him since reporting him missing early this month. Carr received the tip about Ketan Shah from an alleged victim who lives in Sandy Springs. The man told Carr that Shah, who owns...

Eric Dickerson is a legend in all respects, a Hall of Famer and one of the best running backs to ever play the game. He also used to play for the Rams. And like most Rams fans, he's convinced that the Patriots cheated during their last Super Bowl matchup against the Rams.

The controversy surrounding Super Bowl LIII’s halftime show continues, as Colin Kaepernick’s attorney Mark Geragos called Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine’s rationalization on his participation “a cop out.” Speaking on Good Morning America on Friday, Geragos called on Levine to admit what he’s doing by appearing in the NFL Super Bowl halftime. “If you’re going to cross this idealogical or intellectual picket line, then own it, and Adam Levine certainly isn’t owning it,” Geragos said. “It’s a cop-out when you start talking about, ‘I’m not a politician; I’m just doing the music.’ Most of the musicians who have any kind...

...[He's] given Jim Nantz, who’s been at the network since 1985, a new energy, a new vigor. “I’ve heard a lot of people say that,” Nantz told me this week. “It’s probably true. … I definitely feel like I’m trying to match up with Tony’s enthusiasm.” “I gotta be honest,” said Tracy Wolfson, the crew’s sideline reporter. “I felt reinvigorated going down the stretch of the season.” Romo’s not just an announcer. He’s an energy drink. It’s not just Romo’s thirst for football that has changed the CBS crew. As Wolfson notes, Romo’s hiring allowed a rare reset for a...

Their star quarterback, coach, and owner all supported Trump. But that’s not the only thing that makes the Super Bowl LIII-bound Patriots the preferred team of white nationalists. This past weekend, the Super Bowl-bound New England Patriots held a rally for their sweatiest fans at Gillette Stadium. Brady gave a speech. It ended… unnervingly. WE’RE STILL HERE! WE’RE STILL HERE! Obviously, Brady is referring to his aging, decrepit, cheating-ass squad’s progression to the big game. But, imagine you didn’t know anything about football, or who Tom Brady was, or anything like that. You would think that you were watching some square-jawed...

Wow! Take a deep breath as the Daily Beast plunges into the depths of Trump Derangement Syndrome with off the charts diatribes against the New England Patriots. Their crime? According to the Daily Beast writer, Corbin Smith, on Friday it is because the Patriots are Team MAGA due to their star quarterback, coach, and owner being suspected of (GASP!) supporting President Donald Trump.Smith's extreme anger begins with the title, "Tom Brady’s New England Patriots Are Team MAGA, Whether They Like It or Not," and gets even worse with the subtitle, "Their star quarterback, coach, and owner all supported Trump. But...

God may not have a favorite football team; however, Pastor Ernie Madden does. That is him standing by the sign and the Patriots snowman that he built in the above picture. We love how the snowman is wearing a Patriots top hat and scarf. Madden is the pastor at Ashland Community Church in Ashland, New Hampshire and is obviously a fan of the New England Patriots and Tom Brady, a.k.a the GOAT. So much so, that he put the following verse on his church's sign:

NEW ORLEANS- It’s a Who Dat take over as thousands of Saints fans fill Fulton Street in New Orleans for the Boycott Bowl. “We are out here because we are true Who Dat fans,” said a Saints fan. This is New Orleans response to not being in the Super Bowl after a no-call on pass interference against Rams that cost the team the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl. More than 3 thousand attended for this anti-super bowl event, and organizers say it’s the largest in the state. The event had concerts with major entertainment including Louisiana’s very own Rockin’...

The wild thing about this particular Super Bowl matchup, though, is that the phenomenon of teams from the same cities facing off in two consecutive title games is very rare. By virtue of having Red Sox-Dodgers and Patriots-Rams both taking place in the 2018 (or 2018-2019 season), it marks the first time since Super Bowl III in 1969 that this has happened: Super Bowl III: Jets-Colts in January 1969, and then in October 1969 Mets-Orioles. Different seasons. Same calendar year.

Didn't watch much football this year but glad that Trump supporting Tom Brady and Bill Belichick got their 9th Super Bowl together and their 6th Super Bowl victory. Trump tweet incoming for sure.
