The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are taking “X-Stream” games to an entirely new and unheralded level. The Pennsylvania-based Triple-A affiliate for the Philadelphia Phillies will be the first team in North America to introduce pee-controlled video gaming in men’s washrooms when the season opens next week. TOPEKA — Deer and turkey hunters in Kansas will be able to use more legal equipment during upcoming hunting seasons. The Kansas Department of Wildlife Parks and Tourism says deer hunters will be allowed to use any center fire rifle or handgun cartridge when deer season starts in September. Previously, hunters had to use ammunition with at least a .23 caliber bullet. Also, any gauge slugs will be allowed starting in the fall. Florida Gulf Coast University has shocked the nation by staging two massive upsets in the NCAA men's basketball tournament and becoming the first 15-seed team ever to reach the Sweet Sixteen round. Former big league pitcher Virgil Trucks passed away yesterday at the age of 95. Trucks sustained serious injuries in a fall last summer and would never fully recover. Nicknamed ‘Fire’ on account of both his name and his blazing fastball, Trucks had a stellar 17-year big league career in which he recorded 177 wins. The lion’s share of those wins came with the Detroit Tigers. Trucks made his big league debut in Detroit late in the 1941 season.
