Public education is now confusing children as to which bathrooms they should use, and what sex they are “The universe is made of protons, neutrons, electrons, and morons.” - Anonymous While the left is busy demonizing President Trump for his remarks about the MS-13 gangs who enter our country illegally through the porous southern border, Congressional members, working against the safety interests of the American people and cheered by the leftist media and half of the voting population, are doing their best to stall, defund, and vilify any effort by our president to build a border wall and to deport...

The incessant smear campaigns by the progressive socialists must stop. It is apparent that this is the weapon of choice among the leftists who inhabit the Deep State and the media. The fact that they act the way they do, venturing well outside the rule of law or even basic decency is nothing more than the fact that they feel morally superior and indispensable. The morality of the past and the affirmation that people can disagree civilly is now gone. Any deviation from moving forward to make the world as they want it must be destroyed and any means are...

Four candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America won primary races Tuesday night for Pennsylvania’s legislature, sparking supporters to declare the movement is on the rise. “What we did … tonight across the state is a HUGE deal,” the group’s Pittsburgh chapter tweeted. “The establishment's scared.” All four winners were female candidates running as Democrats for state House seats, including two from the Pittsburgh area, Summer Lee and Sara Innamorato. Lee and Innamorato defeated incumbent Democrats in the heavily Democratic districts southeast and north of Pittsburgh, respectively, and are running unopposed by Republicans in the November elections. The democratic-socialist...

The Vatican published an instruction Tuesday aimed at applying norms established in Pope Francis’ 2016 apostolic constitution on women’s contemplative orders, which emphasizes the need for networks of monasteries in contemplative life. The instruction states that all monasteries of nuns must be affiliated with a federation, or organization, of religious houses. Published May 15, the document concerns the nearly 38,000 nuns around the world in contemplative religious orders, and underscores that these religious institutes, “wholly devoted to contemplation, always occupy an eminent place in the mystical body of Christ.”Therefore, even if there should be an urgent need for assistance in...

Liberals can go marching at the drop of a hat over any causes they feel are going to make them feel better about themselves at the time - even if they don’t have a grasp of the public policy issue which is the central purpose for that particular march. In this case, The Left was marching against the Left. Yes, liberals have been trying their darnedest to hang the Nazis on the Right since Hitler murdered six million Jews. But they were the National Socialist German Worker’s Party. But the Left always wants to rewrite history to make it in...

Washington - The Democratic National Committee is eyeing eight American cities for its 2020 Democratic National Convention, a party official tells CNN. The DNC sent requests for proposals to a host of cities and received responses from eight: Atlanta; Birmingham, Alabama; Denver; Houston; Miami Beach; Milwaukee; New York; and San Francisco. "The DNC sent the original letters of interest to a broad list of cities that have traditionally been able to meet the preliminary requirements for serving as a host," the official said. "We expect the entire selection process to play out over the next year."

Your free speech rights can be violated by nearly anyone, as can your right to freely associate. But though almost anyone can violate your rights, no one may do so. And the modern idea has been that governments ought to protect our rights. Unfortunately, politically-motivated mobs have recently decided that they “are” government, or that they get to redefine our rights . . . by violating them. And governments and other established authorities have not been consistently coming to our aid. Last month, libertarian-conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulis went into the Churchill Tavern in New York to dine with a fellow...

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday claimed that being a “capitalist” hurt her in the 2016 primaries because so many Democrats are socialists. “It’s hard to know, but I mean if you’re in the Iowa caucuses and 41 percent of Democrats are socialists or self-described socialists, and I’m asked ‘Are you a capitalist?’ and I say, ‘Yes, but with appropriate regulation and appropriate accountability.’ You know, that probably gets lost in the ‘Oh my gosh, she’s a capitalist!’” Clinton said during a conversation with Alan Murray, the Chief Content Officer at Time Inc. Clinton barely defeated Sanders in the Iowa caucuses in...

PHOENIX -- Thousands of teachers in Arizona and Colorado descended upon their respective Capitols for a second day in a growing educator uprising. Educators in both states want more classroom resources and have received offers either for increased school funding or pay, but they say the money isn't guaranteed and the efforts don't go far enough. The walkouts are the latest in demonstrations that spread from West Virginia, Oklahoma and Kentucky. Teachers said they won't return to work until they feel their message has been heard. Alexis Aguirre, a second-grade teacher in Phoenix, said living paycheck to paycheck has forced...

A slew of candidates are running in the 2018 elections as in-the-open socialists, in the latest sign that the Bernie Sanders wing is looking to expand its political footprint -- as mainstream Democrats, in turn, embrace their big-government policies. Those running under the socialist banner this year include nearly two-dozen candidates, for offices at all levels. One, Texas attorney Franklin Bynum, this week proclaimed he's running on a “far-left” agenda as he touted his Democratic Socialists of America “comrades.” Texas, which has voted for a Republican in the past 10 presidential races, has emerged as an unlikely hotbed for socialist...

Pledging to impeach President Trump would backfire on Democrats hoping to take back the House of Representatives this fall, according to a new NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll. The survey finds that 47 percent of registered voters would definitely vote against a candidate who wanted to remove Trump from office, while 42 percent would definitely vote for a candidate who would make such a promise. Forty-seven percent of independent voters - whose opinions could be decisive - also say they would vote against candidates favoring impeachment. Unsurprisingly, impeachment is a non-starter with 84 percent of GOP voters. And Lee Miringoff, the director...

People stood on chairs with their phones outstretched and fell into a familiar, excited chant. “Bernie! Bernie!” they said together as Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vt.-I, came into the room. Unlike the memorable, mega-events from his presidential campaign, with throngs of mostly young voters, a year and half later this room was made up of 450 fresh-faced, Democratic candidates seeking public office themselves, many for the first time. The training offered targeted lessons from seasoned campaign managers and consultants about the nuts and bolts of managing a campaign. Screenwriters and Hollywood producers in a nearby room gave the candidates suggestions for...

Progressive socialists have taken a once glorious state, full of opportunity, new ideas, and weather that most in this nation would fight for.I arrived in California during my Navy career and stayed because I thought the shiny sparkling California I saw at the time would remain the beacon for the rest of the country. California has always been called the tip of the spear of changes in this country. The spear of change has been turned on the people of this state, of which, unfortunately, I am still one. A wave of progressive social policies has been forced upon those...

Remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron that he wanted to repair church-state ties caused uproar Tuesday, sparking charges he was tampering with France’s longstanding secular tradition. The Church and the state were for centuries virtually indistinguishable in France, but the 1789 Revolution marked the first step by republicans to exclude religion from government affairs, codified in a 1905 law separating the two. But tensions have persisted, with conservative politicians often accusing officials of denying France’s cultural heritage — as seen in efforts to install nativity scenes at town halls during Christmas. Macron, who prides himself on tackling difficult issues head-on,...

display of grassroots power, the Denver chapter of Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA, successfully convinced the Denver Democratic Party to endorse a key tenet of democratic socialism in their party platform. The party’s official platform now includes the following plank: We believe the economy should be democratically owned and controlled in order to serve the needs of the many, not to make profits for the few. The construction used here is similar to “for the many not the few,” the slogan used by the U.K.’s Labour Party. That party is currently run by Jeremy Corbyn, a committed socialist, who...

In 1968, Jorge Mario Bergoglio was a novice in the Society of Jesus. And now that he is pope he is making no mystery of what he thinks about the “social upheaval,” his own words, of that year which has become legendary. Some of it is already known to the ambassadors accredited to the Holy See, who in the discourse that Francis addressed to them at the beginning of this year had thrown back into their faces precisely what the pope maintains to be the perverse effects of ’68. It was the first time that Bergoglio had his say over...

Do they really hate ordinary people that much? Yes, they do. For liberals, the distinction between the "dumb masses" and their enlightened selves renders life meaningful. Disdain for ordinary folks is not just an ancillary trait of liberalism. It is fundamental to the its nature. At its heart, liberalism is a gnostic religion, and the essence of that religion is the believer's faith that he possesses the means of changing the world for the better. The belief that the world must be changed requires there to be a mass of individuals whose lives are in need of change. Following this...
