Newhart (1982-1990) -Please forgive me but I actually like Bob Newhart's second major sitcom series -at the Stratford Inn in Vermont- more than the first 'shrink' series with Mary Tyler Moore, as good as that one was. In fact I think the 80s series Newhart is one of the most underrated comedy shows ever- watched it every week with friends when they were new, too funny. Holy cow! After the football game, FOX showed a preview of their new sitcom "Mulaney" ... named for the stand-up comic who stars. Never have I seen this kind of preview that had not ONE laugh. Not ONE. And the set-up is a blatant "Seinfeld" rip-off. Completely fake interaction amongst the characters. WHAT a disaster. Very sorry Martin Short is peripherally involved here. HE's the real deal. This show looks bad on so many levels.

My 28 y/o vegan son was home this weekend and asked if we watched the show "The Miller", we said no. He said that he was watching it at the gym and they made fun of vegans and it hurt his feelings...IT was all I could do to NOT start in on the "See..now it's time you get the to hear it for a while. You want to live it..then suck it up."

NEW YORK (CNN) — Former Vice President Al Gore is expected to make an appearance on the NBC comedy show "30 Rock" in November. Gore was in New York last week to tape the episode, and a Gore spokeswoman says "he did have a great time". Gore's office anticipates the episode will air as part of, what it called, NBC's upcoming "Green is Universal" week of environmentally-based programming, Nov. 4 - 10.
