A&E's "Storage Wars," a show about people who bid on the contents of abandoned storage lockers, had its second season premiere this summer to 5.1 million viewers. It's the HIGHEST RATED show in the network's history. Tru TV's nearly identical "Storage Hunters" has become a breakout hit - ALMOST as big of a hit as Spike's nearly identical "Auction Hunters." That's right. There are three DIFFERENT shows on TV about STORAGE LOCKERS. Reality TV is frequently trashy, but never before has it featured so much actual trash.

A pro-life organization is set to release a series of 911 calls showing staff at the Southwestern Women’s Options late-term abortion center in New Mexico calling for help on various occasions over a 15-month time period after women were injured in abortions. Some of the calls show life-threatening situation where women’s lives and health were at risk as a result of failed abortions. The pro-life group, Operation Rescue, says the calls, which will be made public today and in the coming weeks, reveal a disturbing pattern of life-threatening abortion complications that routinely endanger the lives and health of women.

A memo leaded to the media from AFL-CIO shows the union plan to attempt to hijack the upcoming November elections. An amateur cameraman claims he's got video proof that California Sen. Barbara Boxer's supporters enlisted day laborers to hold signs protesting her Republican opponent. (IsraelNN.com) Security camera footage released by Israel Police Wednesday shows a group of eight Arabs assaulting two Jewish men at the Givati parking lot next to Jerusalem's Old City last Friday. During the incident, one of the Jewish men fired shots at the Arabs, lightly injuring two of them. Police arrested him initially and interrogated him. He claimed that he only fired after he and his friend felt threatened by the Arab group. The video appears to corroborate his version of the events.

The U.S. administration is prepared to show flexibility on construction in West Bank settlements, a government source in Jerusalem says. The Americans will apparently not demand a full freeze on construction, but will agree that projects now underway can be completed, Israeli officials say.
