The FBI’s 2015 Uniform Crime Report (UCR) shows nearly three times more people were stabbed or hacked to death than were killed with rifles and shotguns combined. Breitbart News previously reported this UCR shows nearly twice as many people were beaten to death with “hands, fists, feet, etc.” in 2015 than were killed with rifles of any kind. According to the FBI, the number of people killed with rifles and shotguns in 2015 totals approximately 548. Nearly three times that many, approximately 1,573, were stabbed or hacked to death.

Mall executives say shoppers have been adamantly opposed to airport security tactics like metal detectors. So they're trying other things, and increasingly using mass notifications that let them send text and email alerts to tenants within seconds in case of a crisis.

CHAMPAIGN, Illinois – Shootings at or near the University of IllinoisUrbana-Champaign and a related hit-and-run incident early Sunday morning left at least five people wounded and one person dead, police said. In a statement, the city of Champaign said at least one suspect in the shooting is still at large, and the driver in the hit-and-run is still being sought.

On Saturday, Mayor Ras Baraka had asked the citizens of Newark to observe 24 hours of nonviolence, but violence flared nevertheless. Six people were shot and killed in Newark in a little over 72 hours — a time spanning Friday night to early Tuesday morning. In addition to the 25-year-old man shot Tuesday, three people were killed Friday night, one person Saturday night and one person Sunday night.

The first incident began at 2:17 a.m. local time when police received reports of gunshots, Austin Police Chief of Staff Brian Manley said in a news conference.
