As sharia continues to make inroads in America and Europe, we should take heed of Ralph Waldo Emerson who once wrote: "[w]e began well. No inquisition here. No kings, no nobles. No dominant church here, heresy has lost its terror." If only that founding reality of the American experience were understood by those who foolishly claim tolerance and acceptance for sharia law in this country -- sadly, it is not. The fact is, sharia is well entrenched in the Middle East and creeping forward to the West. The charge of heresy is imposed on any who would counter its mandates....

Way back in February of 1998, Osama Bin Laden declared a Jihad against Jews and Crusaders in a written document entitled the “World Islamic Front Statement.” In that document he specifically stated: The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies — civilians and military — is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it Despite this, with just a few notable exceptions over the years, few Muslims answered Bin Laden’s call to kill Americans. Bin Laden was of course killed by U.S. Special Operations forces in...

The San Diego School District will start having school calendars showing Islamic holidays and begin to teach students about Islam in social studies classes and school district will create safe places on campuses for Muslim students as part of a multi-tiered approach to combat ‘Islamophobia’. This plan doesn’t include classes on Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion. The school district conducted a survey to see how much bullying occurred because of student’s Islamic faith and found only seven instances...

Ronald Reagan's major achievement in his long war against the Soviet Union: presenting communism as a joke -- exposing the lies of the Soviet regime, exposing the misery under which its people were living, and explaining why Western values were preferable to Communist ones. This is exactly what the West, Hirsi Ali explains, should be doing with radical Islam. Western civilization is a humanist vision in which Christianity integrated Jewish wisdom, Greek philosophy and Roman law, thereby giving Western culture its distinctive character: freedom of speech and of the press, equal justice under law, the primacy of the individual, separation...
