A British DJ has been sentenced to a year in jail by Tunisia for remixing a Muslim call to prayer.
Dax J, who was born in London, was charged with public indecency and offending public morality.
However, he had already fled the country and issued an apology before the court case.
...
Dax J offered his sincere apologies to anyone who may have been offended by music that I played at Orbit Festival in Tunisia on Friday, but deleted his Facebook page after allegedly receiving death threats.
"It was never my intention to upset or cause offence to anybody," he said.

I'm guessing Dax J isn't Charlie. In fact, he seems to be hoping he ISN'T Charlie.

How about “Go to hell, you crazy a$$wipes.” instead of a groveling apology.
As for us Christians and Jews, for the most part, insults are greeted with a shrug and a “Yeah, whatever”.

Gotta love the British. They love their eccentrics.

If it’s that offensive, I want a copy.

Apparently while stealing from the old testament, changing a name and facts to create the Koran, Moehamhead apparently overlooked
Psalms 98:4 “Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!”

Guarantee you that song will get you fifty lashes if played anywhere in the Arab world! /s;)

Hear it performed:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDMOILdbPh0As one might expect for a "dance remix," it's just some occasional chanting with instrumental accompaniment that goes "blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, blomp, ... blomp."

Thx for link. Peeps were dancing, except some grim looking guy in the foreground. Didn’t really sound like call to prayer. I spent two weeks in Turkey, heard it from dawn til dusk, so I know it’s barely recognizable on this video.
Actually, I didn’t mind the call to prayer while in Turkey. Added to the atmosphere, which, in 1995 was great. The people LOVED seeing Americans. My daughter spent months in Tunisia, will ask her if locals would have been offended by this dance remix.

I’ve heard other mixes with the Muslim call to prayer sampled. It’s been done before.
