To Austin Freepers who gathered at the Texas Governors Mansion in 2000 to fight the left and the media over Bush vs. Gore. One of the most memorable FReepers was TheSarce who was a camera bug and she took great pictures of our battle there. If you remember it was 36 days after the election that AlGore refused to concede and every day there was a huge bank of TV cameras on the (left) side of the street and the Freepers on the governors mansion side of the street (protecting him from the left).

The last of the 29 Navajos who developed a code that stumped the Japanese during World War II has died. Chester Nez, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Wednesday morning of kidney failure, said Judy Avila, who helped Nez write his memoirs. He was 93. Before hundreds of men from the Navajo Nation became Code Talkers, 29 Navajos were recruited to develop the code based on the then-unwritten Navajo language. Nez was in 10th grade when he enlisted, keeping his decision a secret from his family and lying about his age, as did many others. "It's one of the greatest parts...

They call it the R.I.P. round and with good reason. G2 Research has released a new ammo that is taking the market by storm and has gun owners all over the country trying to find where to pick some up.

Gun owners who prefer a hollow point design to a full metal jacket might have found a new favorite. G2 Research (G2R) released it’s new Radically Invasive Projectile (R.I.P.) this month, hoping to “take the civilian and law enforcement markets by storm, and truly become the last round you’ll ever need.” G2R, based in Winder, Ga., highlights that the bullet points are manufactured with trocar angles — or simply put, edges with three angles reaching one point — to “penetrate the dermis layer more efficiently.” The G2R website explains the R.I.P. acts like a full metal jacket when it impacts...

Almost fifteen years ago now an ammo maker made claims about its super-lethal round -- the the Black Talon "Devastator" ammo -- and then the all the usual people who freak out about such things freaked out. Hollywood especially. They were bewitched by the Devastator for years. A major plot point in Lethal Weapon 3 concerned these Very Very Scary "cop-killer" rounds. Overstreet's famously flew his P-51C 'Berlin Express' beneath the Eiffel Tower in Nazi-occupied Paris in 1944, which has been credited with lifting the spirits of French Resistance troops on the ground. For his valiant service, the French ambassador to the United States presented Overstreet with France's...
