Speaker Johnson is currently facing backlash after a photo surfaced showing him in the company of former House Speaker Paul Ryan. The image, captured and shared by Jake Sherman of Punchbowl News, depicts the two figures emerging together from the Speaker’s suite at the Capitol. This encounter has sparked controversy, particularly given Ryan’s recent public statements criticizing former President Donald Trump. Paul Ryan, who served as the Speaker of the House from 2015 to 2019 and the architect of FOX News cancel culture, branded former President Donald Trump as an “authoritarian narcissist” while commending the actions of Trump critics, Adam...

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan weighed in on the current struggle for the Republican conference to elect a new speaker of the House following the historic ouster of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). Of the publicly fractured House Republicans, he said the conference is "basically a bifurcated coalition government,” referencing the growing division and significantly differing factions within the party. “This is a political-leaning conference right now, not a policy-leaning conference,” he said in an interview with Politico. He explained this resulted because “our party is a populist-leaning party right now, not a policy-leaning party.” During his time in office,...

The self-proclaimed "Never Again Trumper" Paul Ryan once praised President Donald J. Trump on CNBC's "Squawk Box," April 17, 2018 -- chatting with Joe Kernen. This is a dramatically different face than what Breitbart recently reported about Ryan, on the same Squawk Box program, with some very harsh things to say about the former president (chatting with Joe Kernan). Here is the Breitbart account of those mean-spirited comments:Ryan said, “It is a disaster if we nominate Trump. You know I think that. I have been saying that for a long time. But Liz [Cheney]is right, which is, that he could...

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said Wednesday on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that it would be a “disaster” if the Republican Party nominated former President Donald Trump in 2024 and “dangerous” if he wins, which would be possible.Discussing Trump Tuesday night at the Aspen Ideas Festival, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said, “It’s really important for Democrats to take him seriously. There can be a tendency for people on the Democratic side to say, ‘Well, look, sure, the Republicans will nominee hm the Republicans are a mess but we’ll be able to beat him in a general. And that is...

Paul Ryan wants to make one thing crystal clear: He is for any Republican not named Donald Trump in 2024. “That new swing voter in American politics is the suburban voter, and it’s really clear the suburban voter doesn’t like Trump, but they like Republicans,” the former House speaker said during a recent appearance on Fox Business. “So I think anybody not named Trump, I think is so much more likely to win the White House for us.” Which is blunt! Ryan’s assessment comes even as Trump appears not only likely to run again, but is making preparations for what...

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) took several jabs at former President Trump during an address at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Thursday, lamenting that voters "will not be impressed by the sight of yes-men and flatterers flocking to Mar-a-Lago." Former President Trump put out a statement Friday in response to former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan‘s speech Thursday night. In the statement, Trump accused Ryan of being a Republican in name only.Trump scoffed Ryan’s advice for conservatives to win elections, saying he “was the single biggest fact, other than Romney himself, for the monumental Romney/Ryan loss in the Presidential race of 2012.” Meanwhile, “I got more votes by far,” Trump wrote, “75M than any other sitting president in history!” “Interestingly, I was in the Great State of Wisconsin when they booed him off the stage,” Trump went on....

The fundraiser, a “virtual event,” is slated for Thursday, March 25 at 11 a.m. eastern. The invitation asks donors to give “suggested contributions” of $2,900 to “attend,” or $5,800 to be a “co-host” of the Ryan-Cheney event. Another interesting detail from the fundraising invitation is that the “Liz Cheney for Wyoming” campaign address to which donors are asked to make checks payable to is in Alexandria, Virginia, a suburb...

President Trump signed the 1.2 trillion dollar Omnibus bill today with open frustration over both the process and the product of that bill. Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer heaped praise on Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for their help in what Pelosi called a great bill for the American worker. What wasn’t said was how the Republican and Democrat leadership worked together to force POTUS Trump’s hand and create a voter backlash they hope will fracture Mr. Trump’s base of support among millions of Americans. image: http://dcwhispers.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/aaa355.jpg “How could he sign this...

Speaker Ryan took to his social media Monday to condemn the white supremacists in Charlottesville AGAIN, yet remained completely silent about the violence from Antifa towards Trump supporters and police officers. Paul Ryan sent out FOUR tweets condemning white supremacism. In one tweet he called white supremacy a ‘scourge’. He still has yet to condemn Islamic terrorism after a Muslim terrorist killed 13 in Barcelona including an American citizen. CRICKETS. House Speaker Paul Ryan fired a warning shot Thursday at Republican senators who have been critical of his health-care plan, saying he has not heard directly from them but noting that they will get their chance to amend the Obamacare repeal and replace legislation. The House legislation to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act faces a steep climb in the lower chamber, though a vote is still expected to happen sometime next week. The bill passed the Budget Committee narrowly Thursday, with three conservative Republicans voting against it. Leaders are searching for ways to fix the bill to placate...

On a never-before-released private October conference call with House Republican members, House Speaker Paul Ryan told his members in the U.S. House of Representatives he was abandoning then-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump forever and would never defend him ever again. In the Oct. 10, 2016 call, from right after the Access Hollywood tape of Trump was leaked in the weeks leading up to the election, Ryan does not specify that he will never defend Trump on just the Access Hollywood tape—he says clearly he is done with Trump altogether. “I am not going to defend Donald Trump—not now, not in...

Paul Ryan spoke out against Republican nominee Donald Trump ALL YEAR. Ryan announced in October he was pulling his endorsement of Donald Trump. He held a separate press conference to tell reporters he would not campaign with Donald Trump. Paul Ryan cannot be trusted. He is loyal to the elites and not the people. Paul Ryan is pro-amnesty, big government, pro-TPP and anti-American worker. Donald Trump won an historic election on Tuesday winning 306 electoral votes. But Republican lawmakers do not respect their base. They are voting this coming week to reinstate Paul Ryan as speaker. But Republican Rep. Tim...

House Speaker Paul Ryan is under fire from fellow Republicans upset with his messy political divorce from Donald Trump, with some threatening an effort to oust him. So far, the rumblings are limited and no one has advanced a potential replacement nearly as respected among colleagues as the Wisconsin Republican. That suggests an uphill path to deposing Ryan, who was his party's 2012 vice presidential nominee and could harbor White House ambitions.

JANESVILLE, Wisconsin — “Never Trump” movement leader Bill Kristol of the Weekly Standard seemingly accidentally let the cat out of the bag about House Speaker Paul Ryan: Kristol says Ryan is secretly working against Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president. “Trump is corrupting everyone who has supported him, or who is working for him, and even is accommodating or rationalizing,” Kristol said in an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Thursday, one his own publication the Weekly Standard promoted online. During the interview, Kristol incredibly claimed that Indiana Gov. Mike Pence—Donald Trump’s running mate, the vice presidential nominee—does not...
